Out of network appendectomy

A week ago I had an emergency appendectomy. It was performed at an out of network hospital. I haven’t received any bills yet, but when I realized that the hospital was out of network, I asked Google what happens now & it said I’m responsible for the whole bill.

What do I do? There’s no way I can pay tens of thousands of dollars.

Shout out to Kettering Hospital ER & Surgery

I recently had a terrible stomach ache, along with vomiting bile. I was too sick to drive, so my best friend came to take me to the ER. I was admitted faster than at any time in the past. I was seen and diagnosed quickly (appendicitis), scheduled for surgery within a few hours. Until then, they gave me IV fluids & pain meds. Everyone with whom I had interactions was not only incredibly competent, but kind, warm & informed me of every step along the way.

This post is basically just a huge THANK YOU to all the folks who helped me not die in horrible pain.

Please help!

A friend of mine is missing. If you have any credible information on her or the man she went out with, please call the number or message me here! He would have been the last person to have seen her. Thank you!!

EDIT: Police and family were already notified prior to me posting this, and I was given permission to share this by another friend in the group. We do not know where she was last seen with this man and do not know anything about him other than he is a white guy in his mid-twenties. Please just keep an eye out. Since it has been so long and we know almost nothing about the guy, we are desperate. I will not be replying to anything else.

2nd EDIT: Solon, Ohio, appears to be where she was last seen with the guy!

3rd & final edit: if you don't have the brain capacity to understand why law enforcement in this day and age isn't doing their utmost best to find someone like Hailey, I simply ask that you do your best to just be kind to others, and love your friends. Look out for them, particularly the vulnerable ones. It's getting scary out there.

Any bunny loving families in or near Dayton?

A few years ago I found a small domesticated bunny in my neighborhood. I contacted the House Rabbit Society after I was unable to find who he belonged to. They taught me how to care for him. Because I work so much, I adopted another bunny so that he would at least have some company. Fast forward a few years and I am still working so much that I basically am just their cleaning lady & food & veterinary care provider.

I’m wondering if anyone out there is able to give them a home that is better than what I’m able to give them - one with lots of love. That’s really all they’re missing here; love & attention.

If there’s an individual or family that has bunny experience and love & attention to give, I will provide a litter box, the litter box enclosure, and all the supplies I have at the time of adoption. There is no adoption fee, nor any cost for any of the supplies. I just want them to get more love & attention than I am able to provide. They’re a bonded pair. No cages, as they’re used to living in their own room so they can hop & binky.

Looking for a small rototiller to destroy the median

I’m turning my lawn into a garden. It’s the median, between the sidewalk & the street, that is next on my list to beautify. It’s overgrown with various weeds. I’m hoping a can either borrow a rototiller or hire someone to fill it. Any suggestions?

How to find Golden Girls housemates in Dayton?

I moved here 4 years ago and am stymied by how difficult it has been to find housemates to share my home. I’ve lived in other metro areas where it was pretty easy. People I’ve interviewed try to tell me that they’re single, but later in the conversation mention their boyfriend. Or they suddenly back out when I mention a background check, or they want to start a grow operation in my attic.

I’m looking for other midlife women who are gainfully employed, can pass a background check, aren’t alcoholics or drug addicts, and can be sociable & friendly while maintaining autonomy. Divorced, widowed, single & downsizing.

Is that too much to ask?
