The whisperers

The Whisperers are genuinely dangerous and way scarier than people want to admit.

Imagine surviving in the apocalypse for at least 10 years (resources like food, medicine, and weapons … are incredibly scarce), very few communities have managed to settle down, and even then, you still have to find them.

Now imagine surviving alone (or maybe with a duo) constantly on the road, trying to survive day by day in this worlds that became more hostile day after day.

Then suddenly, you realize a herd is following you. At first, nothing unusual… except this herd seems smart. It keeps tracking you everywhere no matter what tricks or tactics you use to lose it.

You’re being followed day and night. You’re terrified because you don’t understand what’s happening.

You’re starving… and the herd seems to be whispering. You’re exhausted, and you start thinking you’re losing your mind : after all the trauma you endured in the apocalypse you start to think that maybe it’s your turn, that mentaly you’re losing it.

Then, after days of paranoia, being followed … the Whisperers finally reveal themselves. They take the few supplies you have left and explain their worldview: this world belongs to the dead now. You either adapt… or you die. you’ll join them (you really have no choice) either as a Whisperer or as a walker.

And you can’t escape from them, they re way too smart to track and hunt you …

I wish they extended the mystery behind the walkers talking more because this shit was absolutely GOOD

The walking dead ending is good?

After terrible end like The Boys,Game of Thrones, and Stranger Things,is the end of TWD good?

Are the comics better?

I've just finished s8, and honestly don't really have motivation to keep going. I loved the first 5-6 seasons but the last two were such a chore to get through, I've only suffered because i liked negan and wanted to see what would happen to him. Without spoiling, do you think the comics are better and worth reading?

With the conclusion of The Boys, here are the actors who’ve also appeared in TWD verse

Pete stood no chance against Rick

While it may seem like Pete was holding his own during their fight, Rick was actually restraining himself. He intentionally prolonged the brawl to expose Pete's abusive nature to the public.

Since the town other than Deanna was completely oblivious to the domestic abuse, Rick knew that effortlessly destroying the town doctor would make himself look like a violent intruder assaulting a citizen just to steal his wife. By letting it become a chaotic public spectacle, he forced the community to witness Pete's true abusive self.

There are obvious hints that Rick was holding back. When Pete pinned Rick to the wall, Rick could have easily gouged his eyes or bitten his throat out like he did to Joe; instead, he simply chose to break the hold and keep the fight moving. If Pete actually stood a real chance against Rick, he would have easily defeated him inside his own house before they ever went through the window. One of the most obvious hints that Rick was holding back is when he had a gun on him the entire time. If his goal was simply to eliminate Pete, he would have just shot him instead of tackling him through a window.

When we look at Pete’s physical advantages, he is about 6 inches taller than Rick and was fighting with absolutely everything he had because he realized his control over Jessie was threatened. Yet, despite his size advantage and fighting for his life, all Pete could manage was an even brawl against a restrained Rick and Rick pushes him through the window in order to cause a scene to the public. It takes great skill and effort for a 5’10 man to push an enraged 6’4 man through a window.

The biggest proof of Rick's control comes at the end of the fight. Pete manages to pin Rick to the ground, but this positioning puts Pete in the perfect spot to hit Jessie when she tries to pull him off. If Pete had remained on the bottom, he would have been unable to strike her. The exact second Pete hits his wife—thereby completely incriminating himself in front of the entire town—Rick immediately flips Pete over and defeats him. So Rick was in complete control of the pacing the entire time.

TLDR; the fight didn’t make Pete look impressive at all despite him seemingly holding his own. It actually made Pete look more pathetic because despite his advantages and best efforts, he never stood a chance against Rick.

How do you feel about twdg and the main character, Clementine, which one of those main cast would respect her choices. Despite the stuff she has been through she doesn’t choose to become bad.

And she gives a very clear reason why she kills to protect the ones she loves that’s killing the person make her evil of course not she just does it because she cares for the ones she love

I have been thinking about The Walking Dead and there is definitely a lot of walking and a lot of dead

okay so I was literally just sitting there thinking about The Walking Dead for no reason and I just kept thinking like… yeah that show is exactly what it says it is. there are walkers. and they are dead. and they walk. title makes sense.

anyway so the show starts with Rick and he just wakes up in a hospital like bro what and then he goes outside and everything is already completely cooked. cars everywhere, nobody around, it’s all just vibes and zombies except they call them walkers which I always thought was kind of funny because yeah man I can see that they walk you don’t have to tell me.

so then Rick finds people and those people find more people and then everybody’s just kind of hanging out trying not to die. they’ll find a place and for like two seconds you’re like okay cool maybe this is the spot maybe things are gonna be chill and then nope. something happens. it always happens. every single time. you’d think these people would stop getting comfortable but they keep doing it and honestly same I would too.

the walkers are around a lot obviously. sometimes it’s just like one or two being weird in a field and sometimes it’s like a whole situation. but the thing the show keeps saying basically is that the people are actually worse which like… yeah. walkers are just walking around biting stuff that’s kind of their whole thing. people are out here lying and scheming and being dramatic about it too so.

also so many characters. so many. some of them are around forever and some of them show up and you’re like oh I like this person and then they’re gone. some characters start off scared and soft and then later they’re out here doing stuff they never would’ve done before. that’s kind of the whole arc for like everybody on that show. something happens to them and then they’re different now. that’s it that’s the character development.

the places in the show are kind of their own thing too. the farm, the prison, Terminus which was creepy, Alexandria, Hilltop, the Kingdom, there’s a bunch. they all have different vibes. some have walls some have fences some are just kind of there. every time they get to a new place it’s like okay who’s here and are they normal or are they about to be a whole problem. usually it’s the second one eventually even if it takes a while.

the villains are also a big deal. the Governor was doing a lot. Negan showed up and was just absolutely not chill at all. there’s always some guy with a group and a whole system and then Rick’s group has to figure out what to do about it. sometimes they fight, sometimes they try to talk it out, sometimes they make a deal that everyone knows isn’t gonna last but they do it anyway. classic.

something I always notice is that everyone is so dirty all the time and I get it, the world ended, there’s no running water everywhere, but still. they are just filthy constantly. dusty, bloody, sweaty, some combination of all three. just grimy people walking around with weapons trying to make it. Daryl has his crossbow, Michonne has her sword, Rick has his gun, everyone’s got a thing. that’s kind of how you know who someone is on that show, by whatever they’re carrying around.

there’s also a lot of talking. like a LOT of talking. people standing around discussing what to do, where to go, whether to trust somebody, what happened before, what might happen later. sometimes it’s in a house, sometimes outside, sometimes in the woods while walking, which is kind of impressive to do at the same time. and then after all the talking something happens. or sometimes nothing happens yet and they just talk some more first.

and then there’s the quiet parts where somebody just stares at something for a while and there might be music or there might not be and then the episode ends kind of abruptly. the show does that a lot and I respect it actually.

I don’t know I just think it’s a show where the world already ended and now these people just have to keep living in it anyway which is kind of a lot to deal with. they need food and water and medicine and shelter and people to be around but the people are also sometimes the worst part. so they survive one thing and then there’s immediately another thing and it just keeps going like that.

so yeah. Walking Dead. walkers, people, places, weapons, dirt, drama, talking, more walking. some episodes are intense and some are pretty slow and some characters make it a long time and some really don’t. the roads are empty and the houses are sketchy and the walkers just keep showing up no matter what.

that’s pretty much the whole show lol

PPP theory, and why it appears in Daryl Dixon s3

I fully believe that PPP was going to be part of the Civic Republic storyline, but they just never got around to it for whatever reason.

But now the writers have noticed that resolving that plotline so utterly and completely killed any remaining hype for the franchise, so they're retconning PPP to be its own shadowy cabal for a potential future spinoff (or maybe the final season of Daryl Dixon).

Maybe it was in league with the Republic, or maybe they aren't related at all and Jadis had multiple alliances.

I don't understand the criticism of season 7 and beyond

I'm on season 8 episode 7, yes maybe I haven't reached such a horrible point yet, but I always read that from season 7 everything went terribly, yes... the first seasons were definitely fantastiche,ma la stagione 7 e l'inizio della 8 non sono così male come dicono

It's insane how much destruction Alpha had caused

I read a fan fiction that was the usual time travel fix it, and it really is insane how many people are better off when Alpha was killed off early. These are the people that potentially get saved because of this:

Her husband

Jesus

The people whose heads ended up on pikes: Tara, Aggie, Tammy Rose, Rodney, Adeline, Enid, Henry

The Highwaymen

Carol's sanity

Earl

Mary and her sister and likely a lot of the Whisperers

Laura

Siddiq

Other Hilltop people

Anyone Beta killed as well. (I already included Mary and Laura but there were a lot of unnamed characters too)

Beatrice

The original Alpha and the Whisperers, the ones who just peacefully wandered around in the wilderness (shown in Tales)

Beta himself might be better off. For the particular fic I read it would depend on if his therapist's life gets saved too, but even if that doesn't work out, at least he'd be keeping to himself instead of going around killing people

Why don’t all the main cast do what the Whisperers did?

Why don’t all the main cast, Alexandria etc after the end of the Whisperers, wear skin masks when out?

Rather than regularly being overwhelmed and surprised by walkers. For example the female death S11 E3 in the woods. Could have been avoided if wearing a skin mask? Or the train deaths in S11 E2.

Or am I missing something really obvious that wouldn’t work?

Thanks.

What nations in your opinion do you feel like it’s still holding on even though in twd situation is pretty bad from the geological map that we know of the other nations, which one of them is probably doing pretty well

Which one of the countries in your opinion, do you think is still holding on pretty well, but still having a bit of a problems considering the this is twd and there would be some bad situations, but considering these countries history, but people would be doing pretty well and like racist like Vietnam since those people are built different

Bored...

I've been watching the show since April. I'm near the end of season 6 and I'm just bored with the show. I've enjoyed it so far, season 6 has just been..fine, but I don't know if I actually want to bother watching the rest. I can't quite explain it, but for me, it's lost something. Is the show worth sticking with? What are your favourite seasons and your worst seasons?
