Is world beyond good if you love teen dramas and dont mind the angst and plot armor?

Like im easy to please. I like the idea of a bunch of teenagers that grew up during the apocalypse trying to survive on their own. I dont care if its a classic teen drama with zombies.

Just watched Season 2 Episode 15 and this legitimately might be the first time i have ever cried in my adult life for a tv show.

Dont get me wrong, i always feel very very sad when sad things happens and even get teary eyed but this was something different. The raw performance of Jack screaming at his father and crying on the stairs is so so emotional. I was crying so much my nose became stomped up. Two gay men wrote this episode and you can absolutely feel their experiences in this episode. It was so so powerful and if you didnt feel even a tad bit emotional by it then you must be heartless bc wow. So beautiful. They quite literally dont make tv shows like this anymore. The fact that they were able to have such a well written and executed gay coming out story in the 90s is just amazing. Definitely the best coming out i have ever seen before. Jack deserves SO much better.

Just started watching the show and im on season 2. Is it ok if i skip the series finale? Does episode 22 end on a good note?

I know what happens in the series finale. I do not want to get heartbroken by watching it happen so i just want to have a happy ending and have my own headcanon that everybody is alive and happy.

Migizi Pensoneau is the Showrunner for the Kuruk show.

Seems like an odd choice but im all for it. Since Bryke doesnt have full control over these shows anymore it will be interesting to see new visions for this world. Of course Bryke will oversee everything and make sure it fits but having separate showrunners and writers for different projects will be fun to see.

What if hulu actually did renew the show for 10 more episodes but the creator decided to do 3 specials instead? It would be roughly the same amount of screentime as 10 episodes.

It honestly feels like this is what really happened bc the specials are said to be closer to movie length so maybe 70-80 minute specials would be about the same length as 10 episodes normally. Which i would actually be ok with bc we are still getting the same amount of content, its just only in 3 specials. So 3 big storylines that could only be told with a movie length runtime would be really great. One thing about the hulu seasons is that it feels like they have so many ideas that they feel really fast paced so they can fit it into the episode. Now with so much extra time they can build out a story and they will try to give it their all since they are specials.

How does one stop eating when all i want to do is eat all day everyday?

Im morbidly obese and just getting heavier and heavier. I just always feel like i need to eat. Is there something i can do to help me not want to eat as much? Could it also just be my autism and ocd that makes it hard for me to slow down bc im used to eating a specific amount each time? Like i genuinely have no idea what to do. My mom is worried im going to die young bc of it. I want to lose weight and i even say i will eat less but i never follow through, i somehow convince myself to eat anyways by making exceptions and excuses. I honestly just want to have the appetite of a normal person lol or the metabolism of some that can literally eat all day and still be skinny somehow. They won in life.

New behind the scenes video with SPOILERS

Glad to see Dexter and Quinn maybe being friends in the show instead of enemies.

Im thinking of watching the show but i know about Jen and it makes me hesitant to start.

I dont like main characters dying, especially not in the series finale. Knowing what happens before i even start the show makes me feel like theres no point in even caring about this character bc shes just going to end up dead. What should i do?

Do you think we will eventually ever go back to cheaper tv shows with more episodes?

I dont mean like every show but i do hope we get to the point where theres more variety. Most shows dont need the budget of a movie to be good. It can have a low budget and be perfect the way it is. Maybe streaming eventually breaks bc the way they do it isnt as sustainable as it was with network tv and cable. Then we can go back to the way it used to be. Im just really sad that we might not get anymore shows with 22 episode seasons and 8 seasons. Even network shows now went down to 18 for the vast majority of them. Only a matter of time before they catch up to where streaming is. I feel like the art of television is dying right in front of us in favor of 8 hour movies. There should be a difference between tv shows, movies and tv shows trying to be movies. And why are all the current network shows only sitcoms and cop shows? What happened to the supernatural dramas and the fantasy shows?? We used to have good dramas that had hundreds of episodes before getting an actual ending. Now we get 8 episode seasons that most likely get canceled after 3 seasons if they somehow survived season 1 not getting canceled.

One feature i wish this video player had.

I would like it to let me choose a version to watch when i have multiple versions. Like if i have a 1080p copy and a 4K copy. Right now when i have both they are separate episodes with the same numbering. I think if it was all combined into something where you can actually choose on the episode itself so it works better, it would be great.

One of the only long running shows I've seen that has been this consistent.

Truly an amazing thing to have a show you love stay good all throughout, especially with this many seasons. Its a perfect show imo. And it having a great ending only makes rewatching it so much better. Bc i wont touch a show with a bad ending lol

why hasnt peacock greenlit a fourth movie yet? Its already fully written, all they need to do is film it and i doubt its that expensive. Its basically just a double length episode.

The movies arent that long, theres not a lot of CGI, its quick to film. I dont understand why they dont just greenlight it. It costs like a little over two regular episodes worth of money and you will definitely make your money back by the loyal fan base. A movie every few years just makes sense and is cheap.

Futurama is back and the newest episode with the space pirates was really good!! They really found their footing this season and last.

I'm so happy this show is back, but streaming services absolutely suck at marketing, so most of y’all probably don’t even know it’s back, so here’s your reminder in case you didn’t know.

The newest episode was great; it felt like a classic Fox episode. It was a classic delivery space episode with a slight mystery and a twist that feels very Futurama. The show has been much more consistent in quality and writing this season and last season from what I’ve seen. It’s not perfect and not as good as the Fox era, but it’s still a worthy revival now, and that’s all we could have asked for. I’m glad it got out of its slump from the first Hulu season.

Do you think they will order more seasons after the three new specials or do you think the specials are the end?

I have to say i would hate for the show to end again so soon but i dont mind the next series finale being more of a movie like story compared to all the previous finales.

Or maybe they will just order more specials instead of seasons from now on so they can keep futurama alive but cheaper.

Anyone else excited for the reboot?

I know its not going to be the same as the original but i honestly dont care. As long as there are good characters and a fun scheme to break out of prison then it will be fun. While i would have preferred to continue with the original cast, i have to admit that theres not much more they could do with them. So a new show with new characters doing similar things might end up being for the better. I wouldnt mind seeing some of our favorite characters pop up every now and then just to see what they are up to but im ok to have a new story. I just hope the characters are well written and fun to watch.

This title card actually goes so hard.

Its genuinely so beautiful. Definitely my favorite logo in the franchise so far. Love the colors.

While im sad that we wont get the standard 10 episode season next year, im actually really excited for the 3 XXXL specials.

The specials that are closer to movies than episodes will be a lot of fun bc they can do way more with the story. They can have more complex storylines and more moving parts. It can really be emotional and funny. Think of Benders Big Score. It was a very emotional movie with very complex storylines that fully took advantage of the extra runtime. Im excited to see these specials since they will be written more like movies. And this time i dont think they will be split up into episodes so the pacing wont be wonky like the movies could have been back then.
