I made a Scooby Fruit Snack Bracelet

Made molds of the real ones (center) and created resin copies. Turned out better than I thought.

Edit) Thank you all for the kind words. There seems to be support for selling them, After my trip, I'll start on making some extras.

Scooby-Doo (WN, SD) Monsters Bracket II: Day 6

In another landslide of 12-4, the Headless Snowman wins! Back to the sea with you, Motoshondu!

Today's matchup is the Living/Evil Toys (including Spaceman Swinton and Annabel dolls) vs. the Faceless Phantom! I didn't separate the living toys out because there were quite a few in that ep, plus they all have the same general premise. But anyway, as always, judge them on being memorable, cool, well-written, funny, their scare factor, any abilities they have that are explained or not explained, or anything else you can think of. Good luck to both monsters!

Summary of the tournament so far:
R1: Snow Creature vs. Dinosaur Spirit -- 12-11
R2: Space Ape vs. Leland Brothers -- 11-6
R3: Haunted Mystery Machine vs. Ghost of Rufus Raucous -- 11-7
R4: Roller Ghoster vs. Jungle Demons -- 16-4
R5: Motoshondu vs. Headless Snowman -- 12-4

Fred checking out his own body.

Can anyone tell me why Fred in Daphne’s body was checking out his own body while Daphne was in it? And the way he went around his own body saying “hey, good looking.” It’s like he’s into both Daphne’s body and his own body.

Unpopular Opinion (I think?): Daphne was the GOAT in Be Cool Scooby Doo!

Not because she was the “smart one” or the “popular one” like older versions tried to make her — but because this was the first time they just let her be completely unhinged.

Every episode she had some bizarre new hobby, chaotic obsession, or random personality shift and somehow it made her the funniest character on the show.

The puppet phase? The wilderness survival stuff? The fact that everyone else would be trying to solve a mystery while Daphne was operating on pure chaos energy? Incredible.

Older versions of Daphne sometimes felt kinda bland compared to the rest of the gang, but Be Cool turned her into the wildcard of the entire series. She went from “the girl in purple” to the actual comedic MVP.

People hated the art style so fast that they missed how genuinely hilarious the writing was, especially for Daphne. She carried so many episodes.

Day 6 of ranking Where are you schemes!

So it wasn’t even close this time with the Indian witch doctor and ghost of Geronimo being our first Braindead ranking, now for a monster that someone at Hanna-Barbara must’ve really liked with how many shots from their episode were used for the intro: The ghost of Elias Kingston! For those joining us off of this post, here’s the criteria you’ll be using to rank the scheme:

  1. Do they have a good setup for the scheme?
  2. Is the monster cover story convincing so people don’t suspect the culprit?
  3. How well of a job do they do throwing off/getting rid of the gang?

With that out of the way, let’s get to ranking! (Also there’s a comment that if it gets past 150 upvotes I’ll just put ape-man in Braindead tier and skip him.)

Name some funny/iconic quotes that Be Cool Daphne has said before.

Like this one for example: "It seemed like such a happy 'learn the slide trombone' day. But now I'm not feeling very...trombony." - How to Train Your Coward

Scooby-Doo (WN, SD) Monsters Bracket II: Day 5

In quite a landslide of 16-4, the Roller Ghoster rides his way to victory! But at least the Jungle Demons can return to the wild :)

Today's round is Motoshondu vs. the Headless Snowman! As always, judge them on being memorable, cool, well-written, funny, their scare factor, any abilities they have that are explained or not explained, or anything else you can think of. Good luck to both monsters!

P.S. -- I am on the up and up! Feeling significantly better and I haven't needed to take cold meds yet so I'm not as loopy 🙃

Summary of the tournament so far:
R1: Snow Creature vs. Dinosaur Spirit -- 12-11
R2: Space Ape vs. Leland Brothers -- 11-6
R3: Haunted Mystery Machine vs. Ghost of Rufus Raucous -- 11-7
R4: Roller Ghoster vs. Jungle Demons -- 16-4

'What a Night for a Knight' is my favorite Where Are You? episode, but it took me this long to realize that this "giant face thing" at the museum is an Easter Island head

I always thought the shadow beneath its nose looked like an open mouth and I was often scratching my head as to what the giant face even is. I can see now that its actual mouth is well below its nose. Shadows can have a trippy effect.

In the 1998 movie Scooby-Doo On Zombie Island, I find the character Lena (voiced by Tara Strong) very much nice ‘til I saw her turning evil during the final scenes where she tied the gang up with voodoo dolls, then turned into a Werecat. In the end, she was gone.

Truth is, I really enjoyed how she supported the gang in the first scenes of the movie with her cooking at the house in New Orleans only because she invited them to see if it’s really haunted. Important thing I liked were her red shoes which were cute and nice. Call me crazy, but I imagine that they’re magical.

If I were in the movie, I’d have a talk with her, but that’s in the past. Maybe someday, they’d bring her back in some new Scooby-Doo DTV movie or so in future references. Think about it.
