Before anyone asks, I'm aware Wednesday is an anti-hero, so let's not mix apples and oranges. The main difference is that Wednesday is a gothic supernatural horror comedy, while Scooby Origins is set in summer camp.

Similarities include nostalgic, lighthearted IPs about mystery, and they shifted into darker teen drama series on Netflix. When I said darker, I did not mean the show is going to be cynical; I meant the shows have high stakes and drama. The setting is in an academic institution.

These two franchises have never met in cartoon or comics, despite Mystery Inc. teaming up with Josie and the Pussycats in the New Scooby Doo Movie. Archies’s Weird Mysteries is obviously inspired by Scooby Doo, would a crossover work?

So I've done a lot of these for various classic shows, and just one for Scooby so far. One of my favorite artworks is the one for "A Clue for Scooby Doo".

The battle of the bands is over! While he had some heavenly tunes, Friar Serra just couldn't keep up with Rude Boy and the Ska-Tastics's radical tunes! They win last round 28-3.

Today's first final qualifier for the Spooky Bowl is Aphrodite vs. the Freak of Crystal Cove. As always, judge them on being memorable, cool, well-written, funny, their scare factor, any abilities they have that are explained or not explained, or anything else you can think of. Good luck to both monsters!

P.S. -- I'll put up a poll about how we want to work Pericles into this, but feel free to share your thoughts here too. Should we put him up against Rude Boy tomorrow, or should we figure out who's the best of the series besides Pericles, then match them up for the Spooky Bowl? These are my picks!

12 hours went into bringing this Mystery Machine-inspired cake to life and I pushed myself to try something I’d never done before: a windshield on a cake, with a fully detailed interior you can actually see through it. 🚌🍰

Inside, you’ll find the steering wheel, a quilted dashboard, a hanging rear-view mirror, and of course Scooby and Shaggy surrounded by their cookies. 🍪👻

The whole scene takes place in the desert, with the monster they caught secured up on the roof. But on the way back… things took a turn. 🧟‍♂️⚰️ Zombies started crawling out of the graves along the road which explains the fake blood splattered across the van.

There are so many more little details packed into this cake that deserve a closer look.

I've had this Scooby-Doo bank since the late 90's when I purchased it from the Warner Bros. Store. I want to say I got this around 1998 if I wanted to say exactly when.

This Scooby bank holds deep sentimental value for me. Probably the only thing from my teenage years that I still have. It still holds all my spare change in the modern day.

What if Shaggy & Scooby-Doo: Get a Clue were tweaked a bit? In this reality, Warner Bros. MGM is creating a series closer to the Scooby-Doo franchise while maintaining a fresh formula.

Scooby-Doo: Get a Clue! is a 2006 American animated detective series, a new adaptation of the adventures of the familiar Scooby-Doo and his team.

Just like in the real-life series, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo learn that Shaggy has inherited his deceased Uncle's fortune and his estate. And this is where the changes in my version begin: Shaggy invites Fred, Daphne, and Velma to his new mansion, and there, the five young detectives uncover secrets related to Shaggy's uncle and the house, discovering that others are targeting Uncle Shaggy's estate.

The series would be produced by Hanna Barbera Studios and Warner Bros. Television Animation and distributed by Warner Bros. Television, and the series would premiere on Cartoon Network, Boomerang, and Kids WB. This would allow the series to remain on the air much longer, until 2010.

These are all hand drawn by Takamoto himself! I can't wait to figure out a nice way to display them!
