[Artwork] Early Animation Test of Jack Black's Character from "Rapunzel Unbraided" by John Ripa

"This was for a version of Tangled, before it was called Tangled. It was called Rapunzel Unbraided. In this version Glen Keane was thinking of Jack Black as the voice of a character from current time that gets pulled into the Rapunzel fairytale as the prince. He wanted to send Jack Black an animation test with his voice to sell him on the film. Because there were no CG models built yet he asked me to animate something. So I found a piece of dialogue from the Tenacious D tv show, spent a few days really studying Jack Black’s mannerisms and expressions from some of his feature films. Then animated this in about two weeks. I don’t know if it ever reached Jack Black because the story completely changed after that. But I had a lot of fun doing it."
