(I can provide a timelapse/sketch to mods as proof)
Haven't digitally painted in a few years and I'm so happy with how it turned out. I don't think elephants can naturally lay in this pose (I didn't find any references) so it was fun trying to figure that out too :)
The little nudge from mama is too cute 😊

I posted awhile ago about my elephant internship interview and was worried I messed up by saying I want to work with marine mammals. I actually just got offered the internship!!! I’m so excited and thank u to anyone who commented on my previous post with kind thought+words. If anyone has any advice or knowledge about interning with elephants please let me know!😊
I thought maybe this subreddit would understand my emotional experience! I've always loved elephants for no particular reason, and every time I see a video of them I get a rush of emotion and tear up. I'm 43 female and this has been happening for a while but it became more intense about 5 years ago. I know I sound insane, and I am a very rational person! Just wondering if anyone else here has the same experience!
I think I might still be on cloud nine. Today we visited Wilstem Ranch in Paoli, IN and experienced the Safari encounter to celebrate my honeymoon. When the amazing experience and what beautiful gentle, kind, silly goofy creatures. I was truly honored and humbled to be graced by their presence.
The feet up was cute 😊

Mother and baby Elephant pyrography on a turned beech box. Plus a little Rose Engine work on the lid. This is a collaboration piece by Morgan Grace (pyrography) and myself (woodwork).
