Horsepower finally caught up

The video captures a real 1997 incident during France's Critérium
International cycling race, where a horse escaped a nearby field by leaping a fence and joined the peloton of professional riders.
It galloped alongside and briefly overtook the cyclists for several kilometres on the road and over a bridge before veering off without injuring anyone, around 20 km from the finish.
The clip, sometimes mistaken for Tour de France footage and featured in the film Amélie, went viral due to the horse's instinctive herd-running behaviour appearing as perfect race timing.
