Found a baby raccoon in back yard

Found this little one in back yard, we kept an eye on it even played baby raccoon noises to try to lure mom. No mom and it's been raining on and off. I will start looking for wildlife rescue. It's really young just crawls. I tried to see if it'd want a can of cat food but no interest so I'm assuming to young for that. We are running to Walmart now for milk pretty sure they only have kitten milk.

Anything else I need to know? I'll be taking baby back outside when I usually notice raccoon activity at night to see if Mom comes but I'm thinking it's abandoned. He's been put a tote with a towel, no lid on it obviously and staying in our bathroom since we have cats.

This kid isn’t afraid of me 🤗

First time this baby came by to inspect my stray kitties food! Looks young and approachable lol

Don’t mind the blood droops on the floor, their from my stray cats hunt of the day 🧐🫣🪶

Raccoon in my tree

Looks fine, so I'm thinking it might be a mother looking for food. My dogs started barking at it through the window and it went back up the tree. Thought it was cute so I went outside, it just kinda stared at me so I went back inside to not scare it or stress it anymore than it probably already is

Moving away from my raccoons

I'm probably going to be moving sometime soon but at my current house I've been feeding raccoons for about a year and even hand feed one. I'm super sad thinking about leaving them and worried that the next owner of my house may not be so kind to them. Any advice? I wish I could bring them with me 😭

The neighborhood dogs kept eating the raccoon's food, so I built her a shelf. I'm pretty sure she thinks she's queen of the world now

Headless horse-coon

Gracie decided to find some odd places to nap this weekend.

Hunger Over Fear

My city allows fireworks, and my neighbors are big fans. The family apparently was hungry enough to ignore the loud bangs and get a quick snack.

Mama snuck away for a break

I hooked her up with a nice lunch and she decided to relax for a bit before heading back to the kids.

*HELP* my raccoon friend got into my acetaminophen 500mg in the barn

I've been homeless since our house fire last year & I've been living in the barn + the car in the driveway on the same property with my burnt down house a few meters away & I've befriended this juvenile raccoon who comes around at night. I feed him grapes, peanuts, blueberries, occasionally these strips of dehydrated poultry (duck & chicken) + beef meant for dogs & other fruits, veggies, seeds, & nuts, etc. but I've had a killer toothache this last week & had left a bottle of acetaminophen on the table in the barn, & he's able to get into the barn because bottom parts of the walls of the barn have some holes (my cat Spottie Dottie 🌻 used to like going through the same holes into the barn when I'd walk her. tragically she died in the house fire & I had to be rushed to the ICU & spent a month in the hospital out of state for severe 3rd degree burns from trying to get her out of our house while it was on fire, my right hand is still kinda handicapped to this day too from it but that's besides the point) I had just gotten out of the car to grab my acetaminophen because my tooth is beginning to hurt again & I saw him with the bottle **EATING THE PILLS LIKE THEY'RE M&MS BRO!** I never really made physical contact with him besides handing him a bunch of grapes still on the vine but I grabbed the bottle from him before he could eat anymore & put a pizza box between him & the pills laying on the table so he didn't grab anymore & I gave him some grapes so he'd hop off the table & eat those instead but right now I'm really worried especially since I've heard you can't take more than 4,000mg or you'll begin to get liver damage & who knows what the lethal dosage is for an overdose for a raccoon. is there anything I can do? it's hard to know how many he ate but most of the pills are still in the bottle but it's hard to tell if he could've eaten more than 8 or not which would = 4,000mg as each pill is = 500mg. God damn it bro I can't believe this is happening. will he just puke it up hopefully???

bear in mind he is a wild animal who I'm acquaintances with he's not a pet by the way.

edit: wow only 2 comments & +4 upvotes in about 6 hours when this post has had 208 views thanks for the help everyone (sarcasm). SMH. (honestly tho I do want to genuinely thank the small handful of ppl who did give a rats ass to upvote & comment.)

update: i ended up going to sleep after I cleaned & replaced the water out of his water bowl & ended up going to sleep after sending a prayer that he'll be ok because idk what else tf to do & it's 5:30AM EST in the morning now & I see signs that he's been active last night after I went to bed from knocking stuff over on the table in the barn to messing up his water bowl, but that could've been the older racoon who isn't as social as this juvenile, he hisses at me if I get too close & he'll hiss + even growl at the juvenile who has a taste for acetaminophen if he gets too close, especially if it's when they're foraging leftover peanuts, pumpkin seeds, grapes, & blueberries around the garden that I scatter for the birds, chipmunks, & squirrels (I put the food in dishes for the 2 raccoons; the friendly younger one & the grumpy older one + the skunk & the oppossum will come too. I'm sure everyone knows this but opossums are great to have on your land bcuz they eat a lot of ticks. chickens & I believe turkeys are also good for this kind of thing. watch out for Lyme disease, & alpha gal syndrome. ☠️... & watch out for bobcat fever if you have any cats that go out. luckily Spottie Dottie 🌻 had a bright colored coat because she was a Bengal & my late [maternal] Nana's cat Charlie 🏵️ was an orange tomcat so he had a brightly colored coat too which allowed me to spot ticks on either of them moments after they latched onto their fur when I'd take them outside for walks, but if you have a cat with a dark colored coat or cats that you let free range / barn cats the ticks have an opportunity to bite & I've heard of bobcat fever taking out cats just within 2 days [48 hours] after a bite.

anyways I'm rambling at this point. I'm pretty sure he's ok, my friend said that some animals like dogs have a stronger acetaminophen tolerance than us humans but IDK if that's true & even if it is, raccoons aren't dogs but I'm just gonna hope he's ok & I'll have to wait until dusk today, which is 12 hours from now, until he normally wakes up & begins wandering around the yard & around / inside my barn. if anyone is worried I'll post an update tonight whether I see him or not, sometimes he leaves the yard & goes out into the woods getting into who knows what kinda mischief for a night or 2 (especially if we see either of the 2 bobcats I won't see him for the night either) but most nights I see him. so hopefully he'll be ok.

We gave him a little bathing area and various toys with interesting textures for his paws. He loves his little shell.

I wish I could help him out with his tick problem! His ears are covered in them. Poor little guy.

The House of Gracie

I only caught the very end of it, but she liked her little eating house.

I wasn’t sure if she’d knock it over or get inside, but she obliged. Costco boxes are good for something :)
