Is this squirrel in distress?
I wasn’t sure if this guy is in distress and dehydrated or just chilling. I put some water out there near him.
This is in Tx and it’s 100 degrees here.

My boyfriend’s mom called him this morning and said that her dog killed his cat, which is this mama. 💔 her kittens were born on June 16, so they are only about 2 1/2 weeks old— still dependent on her. I need help, I’ve never bottle fed kittens. Idk what to feed them/how long/what else I need. I will call an animal rescue, but just looking for the most advice as possible. I want to give them the best chance.
Late last night, I found an injured pigeon. It was bleeding from its chest/shoulder area (I'm not entirely sure about the exact location of the wound) and it can't fly. I searched online to see what to do. I put it in a dark, safe, and covered box so it wouldn't have any issues with other animals or anything else. This morning it is alert, standing up, no longer bleeding, and it has also pooped. I don't know exactly what to do now because the wildlife rescue centers are far from where I live and aren't answering, and I can't afford to take it to a vet. What can I do now? Can I give it food and water? How can I improve the situation?
UPDATE I shifted it into a slightly larger box, and I put some sunflower seeds and water, hoping that it eats and drinks. In moving it, I checked the wound to understand better what it was. Specifically, it has a wound on its ribs, under the wing. It had encrusted with the wing and the moment I moved it, it tried to fly but didn't leave, it is still there. If it doesn't eat what I put there, can I help it eat maybe by putting something near its beak?
We found a super tiny bat on the street. It's mom was nowhere to be found and it was on the floor, about to be covered by ants. We decided to take him home since all the Wildlife refuges were closed. (It's 2AM, they are open to calls at 8AM )
We put him in a box (with holes) with a warm water bag and the t-shirt that he for some reason clinged on to. We feed him water from a wet cotton Q-tip.
We don't know what else to do for him to make it through the night until we are able to call someone.
Thanks, any advice is welcome.
I've started a petition, to end the sale and use of glue traps, nationally.
Please help me, sign & share as far and wide as you can.
He’s been there for an hour. He’s trying to move but is very weak. He has no visible injuries, and I don’t know how to help him. I’ve already called for help, but no one wants to come. Any advice would be useful !
I don’t even know how to put this pain into words.
Over the past few days, millions of people across China have been heartbroken over a horrifying case of animal cruelty in Jieyang, Guangdong.
For anyone outside China who hasn’t heard about what happened:
According to widely circulated videos and eyewitness accounts shared online, a mother dog and her four newborn puppies were brutally abused by four juveniles.
The videos appear to show the puppies never fighting back or posing any threat. Instead, they desperately tried to hide beside their mother, trembling in fear and desperately searching for somewhere—anywhere—that might keep them safe from the relentless violence.
The mother dog also appeared to stay with her puppies instead of running away, even as she was being beaten and exposed to fire. Many people who watched the videos believe she chose to remain beside her babies, instinctively protecting them until the very end.
Watching those scenes broke something inside me.
The heartbreaking footage spread rapidly across Chinese social media, triggering an enormous wave of grief, anger, and outrage. Animal rescuers, volunteers, and concerned citizens traveled from different parts of China to Jieyang hoping to rescue any surviving dogs, preserve evidence, and urge local authorities to conduct a thorough investigation.
However, instead of the transparency people hoped for, many were left with even more questions. According to numerous people who were present, access to the village was restricted, visitors were questioned, and many felt they were being prevented from independently understanding what had happened. Official statements released afterward were met with widespread skepticism online, and public calls for accountability and a transparent investigation have only continued to grow.
I have cried until I couldn’t breathe.
I couldn’t focus at work. Every time I closed my eyes, I thought about what those innocent animals must have gone through in their final moments—the fear, the confusion, the unbearable pain, and the desperate hope that someone, anyone, would come to save them.
No living being deserves that.
What hurts even more is the feeling of helplessness.
We donate. We rescue. We speak up. We report. We sign petitions. We do everything ordinary people can do.
Yet cruelty continues.
Many people outside China may not realize that China still does not have a comprehensive national animal cruelty law protecting companion animals. As a result, many severe abuse cases end with little meaningful legal accountability, leaving both animals and the public without justice.
Animals cannot speak for themselves.
They rely entirely on us.
This is not about politics. This is not about culture. Cruelty is cruelty, no matter where it happens. Compassion should never have borders.
If you are reading this, I ask you for one thing:
Please don’t look away.
Please share their story. Help keep international attention on cases like this. Public attention can make a difference. It can encourage transparency, accountability, and remind the world that these lives mattered.
To every innocent puppy who died before ever getting the chance to experience love…
To the mother dog who, according to the videos, never abandoned her babies even in the face of unimaginable suffering…
I’m so sorry.
You deserved warmth.
You deserved safety.
You deserved kindness.
You deserved a life surrounded by love.
Instead, your final moments were filled with terror.
I will never forget you.
And I will never stop speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves.
Please don’t let the world forget them.

My sister found what we think is a gecko in her shower drain. She said it is smaller than her pinky and very fast. It is hiding down the drain so she cant reach it, but she wants to rescue it. However, she wants to make sure it doesn't escape into her apartment. Any tips?
My mum lives in Sicily and I was visiting her a few weeks ago when I heard noise coming from an old water well in her courtyard (photos 1 and 2). The well isn't in use anymore. It's about 3 metres deep, roughly 4 by 6 metres at the bottom, with just a small puddle left in it (photo 3). When I opened the well, I noticed some frogs and toads around the water puddle. So I figured the frogs and toads were falling in, probably attracted by the water and the buffet of mosquitoes and other bugs that breed in there, and then couldn't get back out because the walls are smooth and far too steep to climb.
So I tried to come up with an idea to rescue them.
First attempt: I lowered an empty bucket on a rope, hoping they'd hop in so I could hoist them up. They were not impressed. Nobody climbed in. Besides that, because I don't live there, I figured this wouldn't be a permanent solution either.
So I got to plan B: build them a ladder.
I gathered some scrap wood in a wheelbarrow (photo 4) and screwed short crossbars onto a long plank, spaced closely enough for small legs. Then I lowered it into the well at an angle so it runs from the puddle up to the rim, where there is a small indentation for them to climb out (photos 5 and 6).
After two days I spotted the first frogs and toads sitting on the bottom rungs (photo 7).
I left Sicily three days after I built the ladder, but returned last week because of the ten-year anniversary of my mother's wedding.
Because I was curious if the ladder worked, I reopened the well, and to my absolute joy, this absolute unit of a fella climbed the whole thing and was sitting at the top, just one hop from freedom (photos 8 and 9).
The ladder stays in permanently, so anyone who falls in can now climb out on their own. Mission accomplished🥳🐸
I found thing baby bird in the Walmart parking lot today I think it either fell too hard from the nest or fell on a car one of its wings is broken. I’m not sure how to care for it and none of my local wildlife rehabilitation facilities take song birds. I’m not even sure how or what I should be feeding it
I don't know if anyone can help, my mom lives in a small north Texas community and had been feeding and fixing a colony of cats around her house. She had just missed one of the females and there was a litter of kittens. Someone in town has been going around killing all the cat colonies and finally found mom's, she's already lost 3/4 of the colony and is devastated. If someone can rescue the remaining cats it would be amazing.
A couple of the bodies have been sent off for necropsies but police suspect antifreeze in tuna. I suppose additionally if anyone in the area knows anything please take the information to the police. Over 30 cats have been killed so far, as well as a possible puppy and a small group of raccoon kits.
they wer on top of a hay bale stack, but lost there shelter when we took of the hay tarp. this happens often but this time im trying to rescue one so im not damned. can anyone help thanks.
y boyfriend was mowing the yard and saw a couple of these guys pop up.
He had the blades up because the grass was taller, but if he hadn’t I’m sure they would not be in one piece.
4 total. Checked for injuries and put them back and covered the nest with lawn clippings.
How old do they look?
Putting them back was quite the challenge because one of them kept screaming and the ones we put in would get startled and run around. I had to dive for one so it didn’t run under our porch or through the fence.
No sign of mom yet, but it’s hard to tell.
*Update: mom has been spotted in the yard!
Pretty sure she lives under our porch
Hi. I don't know where to report this besides on YouTube, so Reddit it is. This is a disturbing post and I'm very concerend about this unhinged psychopath for many reasons. A few months ago, I found this channel in a comment section, and out of curiosity, I checked it out. This guy is 28 years old, was in multiple failed relationships and he hates women more than anything. He uploaded Family Guy clips of animal abuse and r*ping women, what leads me to believe, those are truly funny to him.
He uploaded a disturbing video, heavily beating his cats and being very rough with them, viewer discretion is advised:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMJ-U2UKxOU
The video begins with Kealii serving his cat food in a bowl. His voice can be heard, but he does not appear on camera. He says:
>"Eat your paté. And you're gonna get your head pets after this. Eat your paté now. And then we're gonna get some more intensified hair pettings after this."
Then the video cuts to another cat in the frame. Kealii starts to run his fingers through the cat's fur. At minute 2:30 he begins slapping the cat, with the force of the slaps increasing until they become repeated beatings. As the cat attempts to flee, Kealii repeatedly forces it back to the floor and continues beating it. He then alternates between the cat that was eating the paté and the other cat, beating each of them in turn. The video ends with a large title reading, "Have a Nice Day," accompanied by the song "Come On Eileen" by Dexys Midnight Runners playing in the background.
I’m asking people to be careful about reporting the channel in a way that could lead to YouTube removing the video before it can be preserved. If the channel is taken down, the videos may no longer be available as evidence. The priority should be documenting and archiving the videos and saving relevant information that may be useful for review by the appropriate authorities. Talking to the abuser could also lead to the videos being deleted. If you know how to handle the reporting or legal process, please help out. Thanks for caring!
I used Google Maps and found his exact address
His name is Kealii Castro https://thatsthem.com/address/417-Himalaya-St-NE-Salem-OR-97301
He's from Salem, Oregon: https://youtu.be/giJ-OWuF51Q?t=395
I hope that this POS gets jailed and most importantly, that his pets get saved ASAP, not to mention, he intends to buy a new kitten, once he moves this summer. Someone pointed out that he was endangering his dog, "Brucey Boy" as he calls him (looks like a Rottweiler), by giving him chicken bones. There are also signs of neglect: vomit in the corner of the dog's crate, and the dog's kibble was sitting on the table. https://youtu.be/vdOflodqmU8
Does this bird need help? Does it look injured? I found it all alone on the ground in a bush breathing heavily. Made his feet a bit wet because of the heat and now dont know what to do. Leave it alone for the mother to find?
Update: Both birds in an artificial nest near place where we found them. The mother feeds both now again i think. One could be injured but not Sure, both open their mouths when Putting finger near. Dont have anything to feed them tho!
Update 2: The weak one on the image just died. Rest in Peace. The second one took all the food i think and is now very strong and still in the artificial nest outside. I dont know if i did the weak one wrong and should have fed him on my own but didnt have any insects etc.
Hello, this morning I came across a facebook marketplace advert for a rabbit who was in a cage which seemed far too small and inadequate. I contacted the RSPCA but because I don’t have the address for the rabbit they’re currently unable to help. I’ve had contact from the seller - is it worth trying to collect the rabbit and pass it on to a rescue? If I could keep the little guy I would, but I live in a small flat with no garden space, and I feel as though he deserves some grass to run around in.
Any advice on what I should do would be very appreciated. If I can link photos of the situation in the comments I will. Also note that I haven’t reported the advert yet - I’m concerned that reporting the advert will lead to the rabbit staying there and continuing to live as it is.
If there are other subs you think could help me too, please link them below
"I have 7 cats. I live in Algeria, a country where animals are not respected. Every day, cats and dogs are killed without any right, and dogs are abandoned in the desert. Honestly, I am so fed up. I am asking anyone for help to emigrate with my cats from this country to a place where animals are treated with mercy. I don't want money; I just want a safe place for me and my cats." In the pictures you'll find photos of my cats and street cat with her kittens and they're 7 by the way , i take care of here but still I can't live i' country that kill animals and disrespect them
