My first ink pen
In the mid 60s, this type of pen is what we used from 3rd grade on until 5th or 6th grade. Did anyone else learn to write with these? Did you have to have blotting paper to keep from smearing the page? When was the last time you actually used a fountain pen?

Who else was traumatized by that little a-hole? (Lady Elaine Fairchilde from Mister Rogers Neighborhood, 1970s)

Network (1976) Calling it a prescient film would be an understatement: the way it dismantles its core themes feels timeless, despite being released half a century ago. Watching it immediately brings to mind Stanley Kubrick’s work on Dr. Strangelove, the satire is just as ferocious.

Was This The Toughest Moment of the 70s?
I'd be very interested to hear from people who remember this in the news or, heaven forbid, if you were at Kent State that week.

None of this laid back nonsense of 2026, back in the 1970’s America was on the move and did not have time to put a yummy sugary breakfast into a bowl
