Wing tips? Who wore these?

I remember getting these in the late 60s early 70s. Seems like I always got a pair too big for me so I could grow into them.

A-Dee-Do

If you were in Southern California, I’m sure you remember these commercials.
Who knows what dangers lurk in your plumbing? Call who? A-Dee-Do
I can remember a couple other plumber commercials, how about you?

Airing your laundry?

How many grew up with a clothesline as your only way to dry your washed clothing?

How we survived before GPS and Google Maps.

As a delivery driver these were our only way to find a correct address. I had these dating back to 1972 and usually bought updated books every couple of years.
Have you ever used one?

Big wheel for the big boys

I never had a big wheel but my friend’s younger brother did. Now if this was around, I’m sure I’d give it a go. 😂

Grade School Bathrooms?

I went to a Catholic grade school and the bathrooms felt ancient and not private at all. I remember if I had to go #2, I always went during class hours if I couldn’t hold it until I got home. It was very embarrassing with no doors for the toilets if someone else happened to come it. And the close side by side urinalysis were not any better.
Did anyone else have to deal with this type of set up?
The pictures are similar but not the actual pictures from my grade school. Our toilets did have toilet seats on them unlike these.

High School Gym Showers

Did anyone else have communal showers like this in high school? My school had both types. The center post was in our old gymnasium and the wall showers were in the HS football locker rooms.
Did you shower in the buff or with shorts on? In my school the kids that tried to wear shorts when showering were usually harassed to the point they’d skip showering.

Parental or Spousal Caregiver?

I’ve been my wife’s care for 8 years and it seems the majority in this group are caregivers for parents.
I think I’ve had it pretty easy caring for my wife who is battling pancreatic cancer compared to others.
I remember growing up with my grandmother living with us and I never really paid attention to what my mother had to do to be her caregiver.
Much props to my mom and to all those caring for your parents!
I think both parental and spousal caregivers are very special people.
Which do you think is more difficult?

I (m/67) have been my wife’s (f/65) caregiver for close to 10 years now. Back in 2016 she was diagnosed with PNET cancer, had surgery to remove the large tumor but it did not get it all and was given lass than a 4 year prognosis. We accepted that and I got my head around it and wondered what life was going to be like alone after she passed.
Fast forward 9 years and many treatments and scans and she is still battling it while I’ve taken over all the household duties and caring for her. Late last year her latest scan showed growth and spreading but was told another treatment showed promise and could give her 2-4 more years of fairly normal life.
Meanwhile, I’m worn out. I feel like I’m carrying all the burdens while she “rests and relaxes” between treatments.
Has anyone else been through this type of long caregiving situation with changing goal posts of how long it will go on? At this point I’m thinking she might out live me even though I’m in relatively good health for my age.
Is it wrong to just wish it would come to completion one way or another? Sometimes it feels like living in this limbo state is harder than having the disease yourself?
