Frostie Vanilla Root Beer
Regular Frostie is no doubt a good one, but for me their vanilla root beer feels like a treat. Grabbed a 4 pack at Food City.

Initial nose: strong vanilla
Initial taste: complex, spicy
Tasting notes are listed on the can as pictured, and i certainly get the juniper. Not first tho. The vanilla comes first. It says lightly carbonated, but that's a perfect level of bubbles imo.

Will start reviews tomorrow, once I've given everything time to chill. Which should I go for first?
Super cheap and very good. Might be favorite Zero Sugar Root Beer.
I was excited when a friend told me orange Slice was back. I took a shot on one can of that and grabbed this as well. Low expectations, have tried a few of the healthier soda varieties before, but this one honestly took me by surprise. Didn’t taste artificial, the sweetness was definitely on the lighter side but there was no strange aftertaste like I have come to expect with these sodas. A very solid root beer.
Would buy again.
Initial nose: good spicy licorice
Initial taste: bold, punchy
I look for the really good spicy ones. The ones that have your tongue slightly numb on the first taste. This that... Great level of carbonation too!

more wintergreen, more refreshing. Wish there was more.

Just one more left!
Summit Root Beer from Aldi is a good one. Okay so my critique after having an Abita the last 2 nights is that the Summit Root Beer needs a bit more carbonation.
Just discovered this sub! I did an impromptu root beer taste test with the family this weekend and thought I'd share our non-connoisseur results. Most of us grew up drinking mug root beer and would periodically get a box of old Dominion (I believe when it was out of VA) as a special occasion splurge.
Century Farm Market - all 6 of us put this in last place. Tastes so similar to those root beer barrel candies that you could convince me they melted those things down and slightly carbonated it. We preferred the others but I'm sure some people would love this.
Hank's - 1 person put this as their favorite, most felt it was a very close second.
Jone's - 5 of the 6 of us put this in first place. One preferred it by a wide margin, the rest by just a hair over Hank's.
How would y'all rank the ones you've tried?
When you have a massive amount in your root beer collection you tend to find yourself constantly nipping at the fringes for more. Okay so apparently after delving into a small rabbit hole I noticed that the pantry packs of Olipop sodas are different than the ones in the refrigerated section. They have 6g instead of 9g of fiber and use different shelf stable prebiotic ingredients. I got it at Walmart. That other one is just some private label shipped to me extremely cheap through the https://shop.app/
Tastes like: similar to a&w? Vanilla forward, some spicy/herbal notes, good carbonation. He really liked it 👍🏽

What is the correct order to drink these if I drink one per day? Save the best for last? Sacrilegious to rank one above root beer?
Initial nose: maraschino cherry
Initial taste: barrel candy, but with cherry
Good well rounded spicy one. Got a great color to it.
Abita definitely delivers on bold traditional flavor with bite. It helps take the edge off from a busy day. A rating for this connoisseur. Shout out to Colonial Heights Package Store of Kingsport, TN for making it a local one. 6 packs
