Financial POA vs adding name to account

Long story short, and elderly family member has made no. No financial arrangements and now they are needing long-term care. Her husband is cognitively unable to manage the bills.

Liability-wise, is it better for me to have them add my name to their bank account or would getting a power of attorney? (Financial or otherwise?) Be the better option?

Hospice Recommendations

I live out of state and have a family member whose health is failing and might require hospice services. Does anyone have recommendations for a decent one in the Springfield area? Thank you in advance.

Hot ride to the mountains

A few of us from Tucson and Phoenix got together yesterday to ride up our local mountain road. The Sky Island Scenic Byway climbs up to over 9000' and it's a great ride with plenty of scenic views. It was 104 in Tucson when we started, 80 degrees at the top and 109 when we got back.

I was on my Burgman 650 but Vespa, Honda and Yamaha were also present.

Looks like it's happening

Regardless of how you feel about a 400cc adventure style scooter, I still think it's exciting that Aprilia is returning to the US market. However, I actually am excited about it. I do a lot of off-pavement riding and my Burgman 650 isn't usually happy about it.

Metzler's and 100+ Root Beers

I was driving through Denton early Sunday morning and passed by a store called Metzler's Food and Beverage. It wasn't open yet but they had a sign saying that they carry over 100 root beers. Just an FYI for those in the DFW area.

Otto Root Beer

I was driving along a back road in PA recently. We saw one of those drive-thru liquor "barns" and saw a sign saying that they had soda. I pulled, went in and the only root beer they had was this Otto - bottled by Otto's Pub and Brewery. $20 for a 6-pack.

It's fairly sweet and is very lightly carbonated. It contains cane sugar, brown sugar and further down the list is yucca extract. It has a very nice vanilla flavor but no detectable wintergreen. Still, I quite like it. 6.5/10

Root beer from Maine

I'm visiting Maine and read about Old Soaker. We found it in a local grocery store and picked up a 6-pack. It's light on carbonation. Very smooth with no bite. It's sweet but not overly so. I like it but it doesn't have much that would set it apart from the pack. If I get to Maine again, I'd buy more of it

Root Beer Sign

I was riding in the mountains near Sierra Vista, AZ and came across this. Had to pull over and snap a picture.

Things to See

I am visiting Springfield for a week or so and I brought my Vespa. I enjoy taking pictures near water or other areas of interest. I'm looking at Google maps and I'm not seeing any places where I can get right to some water. ( I'm not particular. Lake, pond river, doesn't matter.)

Can anyone recommend some places?

LXV on Tail of the Dragon

I had no idea we were this close to the dragon, so we stopped driving early, I unloaded my little LXV and rode up through Deal's Gap. I've ridden roads that were more technical but I have never ridden one that was more fun.

150cc of fury took on the Dragon

My first and probably last ride on Tail of the Dragon. I've ridden more difficult roads but I don't know that I've ever ridden one that was more fun.
