Container garden at night 🌙

I've been gardening nearly all my life, I'm in my 60's. A few years ago I developed physical limitations. Instead of giving gardening up entirely I changed to container gardening.

I use 3/4 of my driveway for flower and vegetable growing.

I can sit while I work and not miss out on the pleasure that gardening brings me. I'll share some more photos soon. Thanks for letting me join.

Along Jug Run, Belmont County, OH, USA [OC][2048×1534]

This cramped, narrow valley in Belmont County, Ohio, felt quiet, almost too quiet. A one-lane gravel road followed the hollow, passing an abandoned Wheeling & Lake Erie rail line that is slowly being converted into a rail trail. Nearby, old strip mines marked the hillside. Only a few occupied houses remain along the road before the hollow opens into more fertile farmland. Under deeply overcast skies, with intense snow squalls moving through, the whole scene felt even more isolated. I've posted more photos here.

She thinks we starve her.

Out of six cats we have one like this.

Thieving food from her brothers and sisters, laying next to the auto feeder an hour early. Sticking her paw up into auto feeder drop chamber getting it to manually drop one pebble at a time.

Abuela has not lost her skills.

Maybe I should add a trigger warning for the Latino community.

A Display of Vection Illusion.

Source: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8pHv3f5/

Vection is the feeling that you’re moving even though you’re standing still. It’s usually triggered by large movement around you. In this case the kids fall down because it feels like they’re moving when the images on the floor rapidly move so they move their balance. It’s also a feeling that can happen with things like sitting in a train when another train starts moving or cars with the same thing.

Gibbs high-speed amphibious motorcycles – ride straight into the lake and out again

Serial amphibian vehicle innovator Alan Gibbs unveiled three radical recreational vehicles at the American International Motorcycle Expo. Expanding beyond amphibious cars, trucks, and quad bikes, Gibbs introduced two- and three-wheeled motorcycles that transition directly from road to water. With the push of a button, the wheels retract, jet propulsion activates, and the transformation to water mode happens in under five seconds with almost no loss of momentum: https://newatlas.com/gibbs-sports-amphibians-concept-vehicles/39912/
