I am not defending this guy, in fact I think he gets too much sympathy for his mental illnesses. He was obviously incredibly mentally ill, but if you really listen or read about his crimes (as I did with the boys chapter in the book), he operates very much like a typical serial killer, just with the added blood drinking.

1. Victims all women or children

2. Known impotence that turbocharged his terrible mental state

3. Rabidly attacked bodies like other classic woman-hating killers

4. Intimidation tactics like Golden State Killer, such as desecrating personal objects and leaving a bullet in a woman’s mailbox

5. Sexual assault of bodies

6. Casing of houses

7. Attempts to avoid capture

I think the blood thing was real, but the Dracula stuff like ‘I didnt go in if it was locked’ was all bullshit because he knew it would add to his mythos.

There is more I can think about later. But after reading the chapter on him in Last Book on the Left, I immediate thought this. Richard Chase was certainly mentally insane, but I think he knew far more than people think, because if you pay attention to his crimes, if he was doing it just to get blood he could have avoided all of the things I mentioned above, like sexual assault and intimidation. He’s just a classic woman-hater killer with a blood fixation from what I see.

A 32-year-old woman known to the child was charged with domestic violence murder and refused bail.

The 32-year-old woman was charged with domestic violence murder and refused bail.

According to court documents, police obtained an urgent court order to forensically examine the mouth of the woman, prior to her being charged.

The court order allowed police to obtain samples of the woman's internal mouth contents and forensic material, as well as a buccal swab.

It also allowed them to obtain samples of the woman's nails and material from under her nails.

I definitely lean more towards the true crime and cult episodes. I just listened to Dennis Nilsen and was totally floored by how over-the-top his story was; the whole saga with the plumber and KFC had my jaw on the floor.

Who are some of your favorite episodes with stories and people involved that are stranger than fiction? I also love the Kallinger, McVeigh, Pee Wee Gaskins, Manson, etc episodes. The deeper the cut, the better!

Does anyone else ever want to write a carefully sourced email correcting the things, especially what Henry says, that are factually incorrect about the bible?

Warning: I am a cradle Catholic. (Yes, I know, pedophile priests, colonialism, etc, etc.… It makes me just as angry if not more so, because they are using a faith I genuinely love and believe in)

This urge overcame me because while listening to the new Gary Ridgeway episode today, someone, I think Henry, made an offhand comment to the effect that all the women in the Gospels are just there to tempt Jesus. This is not only demonstrably untrue, but in fact the only “temptress” in the Gospels is Salome, the daughter of Herodias and stepdaughter of Herod Antipas, and she and Jesus never meet.

Heck, in Matthew, Jesus full-on told someone, “Truly, I say to you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes go into the kingdom of God before you.”

A lot of Christian misogyny comes from interpreting either Old Testament scriptures or St Paul out of context. This tendency towards the Madonna/Whore dichotomy in history appears in Christian theology in the centuries after Christ, if I recall correctly, after the religion allied with the Roman Empire under Constantine the Great. And all my homies think this was one of the biggest mistakes Christianity ever made and something the Catholic Church has been struggling to rectify over the last couple of centuries.

Alas, the Roman Catholic Church is a very big ship, and it takes time and significant effort to correct course.

Down in Oak Forest facing north. Bright red lights too big and way too bright to be a plane, not a firework, too fast to be a helicopter. Was coming from the north headed south, made a wide u-turn towards the west before going back north, hovering and disappearing.

However, what is less known is whence the name Amerigo is derived. Amerigo is an Italian form of the German name Emmerich, from Proto-Germanic *Haimariks.

*Haimariks co-evolved into Heinrich, which went into French as Henri, and thus into English as Henry.

Another interesting point, Heinrich also went into Dutch as Hendrik, which became Hendrick in English. As such, the son of a Hendrick would (at some point in history) have the surname Hendricks. This may also be spelled Hendrix.
