Love shack by the B52s sounds like John sung it

I heard the similarity in the radio and started dying laughing. "Juke box MONAY!" especially sounds like him.

Playboy After Dark: Grand Funk Railroad, 12-03-1969

Mark, Don, & Mel!

More Hugh Hefner party weirdness surrounding the music, as Grand Funk Railroad showcases two songs from their yet-to-be multi-platinum-selling 2nd. album on this late-night TV show.
(Mr. Limousine Driver  was eventually cut due to time allowance and released on their CD as a bonus track.)

Tunes: "Mr. Limousine Driver" and "Please Don`t Worry"

Playboy After Dark: Deep Purple 10-23-1968

Original (9 months together),1968 band with Ian Paice, Jon Lord, Nick Simper, Ritchie Blackmore, Rod Evans
Tunes: And The Address, Hush

This show, outside of Hefner's Ts & A and bullshit guests, showcased some very good bands from jazz to R&R. Most, like this one here, were infants in the business.

This was all fantasy made in a Hollywood studio. There was no real elevator guest who came out to look like it was going to a rooftop Playboy party.

Looking for suggestions for a rock project

My brother and I want to make my mom a book of classic rock hits with piano parts for her to play and sing with. We want it to be Top 40s hit stuff, so she'll already know the words and how the parts sound, since this is just for her enjoyment. Her favorite song is Jungleland by Springsteen. We already have Bat Out of Hell and Come Sail Away. We're aiming for 1970-1989 mostly, as those will be things she listened to with her friends. I'd love any suggestions you have that would fit the bill.

If you could relive the life of 1 person from any rock band who would it be?

  1. Band obviously has to be 2 people or more no solo artists
  2. Anyone from 1950 to today
  3. You relive their life as they have lived it so you don't get to change anything

I would consider life before and after being in the band pretty important along with drug and alcohol addiction and tragic deaths of people around you.

One of the best “Yes” songs isn’t on a Yes album..

Chris Squire’s Silently Falling on his Fish Out of Water solo album

Bruford, Moraz and KC Mel Collins play on it
