In issue #23 of The Sensational She-Hulk (1989–1994), Jennifer throws an atomic bomb that's roughly the size of the Mark 17 thermonuclear bomb from Los Vegas to Gila Bend, Arizona—that's 262 miles.
That's HELLA far to throw something so heavy. I can't imagine how much stronger the average human would have to be to pull this off.
Book was so unexpectedly good, gimme some back on Earth Jen
Planet She-Hulk #6
It’s crazy to think that it’s already been 4 years. I really love this show, and it’s definitely one of my top 5 TV shows of all time!
Imagine the episode could be an orgin and who she is as an antagonist to She Hulk, and we see how she hates her and why she does it in general. And maybe showing her what she was doing in background while the main plot was going on, but from her POV and we could even develop more about her self obessesion influencer lifestyle and see her devoted fanbase as well, and it can be a character piece of beauty obessesive social media superstars, but with a character who has super strength in a Marvel self aware comedy layer show.
From issue #5 of Daredevil (2023–)
I'm writing Marvel fan fiction because I'd eventually love to be good enough to write professionally for Marvel, and I'm trying to get better at analysing established characters rather than just copying their surface-level traits.
I'm currently reading Janet's appearances, but I'm still pretty new to character analysis. I find it much easier to understand a character when I have a basic idea of what their core characterisation is first, and then I can look for how those qualities actually play out in the comics.
So rather than just “read the comics” (which I am doing!), I'd really appreciate it if someone could give me a character breakdown of Janet van Dyne that I can use as a framework while reading.
For example:
I'm not trying to get someone to read the comics for me, I'm trying to find a looking for a “how to read Janet” guide so I know what I'm supposed to be paying attention to when I analyse her myself.
I'd especially appreciate answers from people who've read a lot of Janet, because I'm trying to understand why she behaves the way she does, rather than just making a list of adjectives like “confident, funny, fashionable and caring.”
