A few years ago my (orange) cat’s automatic feeder went off, but she didn’t come running, which is very uncharacteristic given she’s super food motivated. I looked around and couldn’t find her. I noticed the window to our fire escape was open, and she often would lie out there in the sun. I peeked over the railing and saw this hole the exact shape of her body.

I went out back and found her unharmed, exploring the garden.
