Bandhavgarh: Bajrang spots his sub adult daughter (cub of the Sidhbaba female) feeding on a kill he made. He wasn’t pleased and proceeded to chase her away. You get a good idea of his size when he passes near the vehicles.

Open safari vehicles have been banned from operating in Karnataka’s tiger reserves

"The directions come in the wake of a fatal incident at the Dubare Elephant Camp which claimed the life of a woman tourist. The Forest Minister has instructed officials to ensure that no tourists are allowed to get down from safari vehicles and enter forest areas."

What do you guys think of this? It honestly doesn't sound sensible to me, banning open jeeps across all tiger reserves over a tragic accident that happened on foot at an elephant camp is a total overreaction imo.

Sad news from Kanha Tiger Reserve - Mahaveer tiger found dead

Seems like he was likely weakened by canine distemper virus, then killed in a territorial dispute. There have been quite a number of tiger deaths in Kanha from CDV recently. :(

Upon first glance many will assume this is a Wild Siberian Tiger, however this is actually a Bengal Tiger from Bhutan 🇧🇹 (camera trap shot from the wild)

Quite fascinating that even in Bengal Tigers there’s variety in their coats - with this Male from Bhutan adopting thicker fur similar to their Siberian Tiger cousins. These Males in these cold climates must probably hold on too more body fat to stay warm similar to Amur Tigers, it’s genuinely so fascinating and hard to believe that Bengal Tigers can also look like this. The second photo I’m adding just for comparison to show the variation (credits in the photo - not sure if they’re from Panna).

Witnessing tigers on tar road is very common in Indian jungles where tourism is at its higher level, but it's a very rare sight to unfold for a commoner who hasn't visited the tiger reserves yet. This photograph is dedicated to them in particular. I believe you would enjoy this intense moment where healthy tourism co exist in the wild, photographed at Tadoba Andheri tiger reserve, Maharashtra - India
