Lets talk about off-topic posts...
Before r/batmanarkham became Alsumefied, all posts had to be about the Arkhamverse but after the subs insanity, what was considered to be on topic was anything that follows the subs lore, relevancy and on going jokes.
So that included things like "why didn't spiderman call the avengers for help? is he stupid?" Or a big battle between Man vs cybermen from doctor who since cybermen invaded the sub.
For the longest time anything that fell under those categories were considered on topic and anything else was considered off-topic and removed.
However after some time we began seeing and allowing posts that didn’t follow the above criteria yet still were not removed for reasons such as "they are relevant to superheroes" or "they are insanity jokes so we will allow them." I personally feel it didn't cause any harm to allow certain posts go through however over time more and more posts have been completely off topic and on the sub causing many to complain stating the sub is no longer about the alsume.
This has been true especially lately where posts have been focused on Marvel casting, Avengers doomsday and CEO of Sex.
Now whilst I do agree the Alsume has felt very much less Alsume as of lately, I do also think these posts serve a purpose in the sub as they provide us with relevant news about on going things plus who doesn't love the CEO of Sex, however perhaps we need to know where to draw the line.
So we wanted to know your honest thoughts and opinions on what we should do.
Note this post isn't to declare any changes in the sub but more of having an open discussion with the community of what we should do regarding off topic posts.
Thank you for reading.
