Now that the boys is over, I want to recommend an old Show that is just as brutal as the boys in it's own way. It's called Oz or HBO'S Oz.

It's a prison drama about the prisoners of Oswald state correctional facility, it has some of the best cast and character I ever seen in a show and it is super underrated. It's not entirely realistic, but that was never the show's focus. It just wants to tell a story and it does tell one hell of a story. But just like the the boys it does dip in quality in second of S4 and has a rushed ending but for what it's worth I'll still recommend you to check it out. Also if you are sensitive to stuff like S.A and r@pe then it might be not for you.
