The problem Wonder Woman has is there’s nobody to vouch for her at dc

by that I mean nobody with any passion for the character and her stories

Everybody will always say “I wanna work on Batman that’s my dream job!”

But you rarely if ever hear somebody say that about Wonder Woman

Unfortunately it seems like the only people who actually like and enjoy her stories typically aren’t working for dc

Instead they are the fans on Reddit Twitter and Discord

You’d think with a character with a legacy like Diana’s

There would be somebody repping her at dc but nope

There’s really nobody to push the narrative that she’s important and valuable

I have been to harsh on King's Wonder Woman. (But I still think I hate it)

I originally dropped King's run way back around Absolute Power and only now that they've announced a one-shot about the Matriarch is coming out from 2 of my favorite authors did I decide to give the run a second chance. And it's... not the worst. Their are some really excellent moments and some ideas with a lot of potential. There are also some things I HATE, like how much King seems to view Diana entirely through her relationships to men (Clark, Bruce, Steve) or the way she talks for most of the run like Gal Gadot having an off day.

Do people understand what I mean if I say it feels like reading Diana in a Justice League book instead of in a Wonder Woman book?

I think what it comes down to is, if King likes Wonderful Woman, I don't think he likes her the way, or for the same reason, I do.

'Wonder Woman: Goddess of Truth' - Commission by Luis Filipe (@filipe_sca on Instagram)

A commission by Luis Filipe, depicting the iconic heroine.

Inspiration taken from modern runs by Rucka and Thompson, and stylistically drawing from animated shows like Blood of Zeus and Castlevania.

Put simply, my headcanon take on the character set in a hypothetical animated universe.

(Also may or may not be a way to cope with the continued lack of an animated series...)

Wonder woman is underestimated by many people mainly batman and superman fans, they talk about elseworld batman and superman comics and their feats and yet when wonder woman is brought up it's always "that's elseworld that doesn't count" or if it's main storyline it's "that's a bad storyline"

And this is not powerscalling in any way I'm just tierd of people underestimating diana,Wonder woman (depending which version) she's made from clay by a demi-god or she's a demi god which she should be veiwed as someone who's strong..... and I bring up elseworld storylines and people tell me eveytime "that's elseworld that doesn't count" when they literally bring up superman 1 million and every other versions of elseworld superman and talk about their feats? I thought that didn't count?

Wonder Woman Fanart by me!

I’m not usually a DC girl but I’m currently getting into her stories after reading Absolute WW, I decided to read Perez’s run and I loved and finished Volume 1 so far! If anyone has any suggestions for me to read I would love that too!

(I’ve read Dead Earth and JL: League of One as well)

Wondy villains without Wondy

I find it funny that Wonder Woman's Rouges gallery has been getting explored a lot more recently in years but nearly entirely without her herself. Dr Psycho was the first of them while having the most exposure to Wonder Woman comparatively in the Harley Quinn TV series. Followed by Circe getting exposure through Creature Comandos that I mostly like except the part where her ass was handed to her. Now we have the first family friendly take on a Wonder Woman's villains with Giganta in MAWS.

We can't seem to get a real relationship between Diana and her own rouges outside of the comics. I know the conversation has been beaten to death but we at least need an animated series to explore this so much further.

My Take On Wonder Woman Scenario #1

Hey everyone, so I finally got round to writing a single scenario made by u/LaylaLegion and how my Diana would react. First of many scenarios to come hopefully. It's by no means perfect or groundbreaking but without further delay, her it is :

Scenario #1 : A female criminal is given the Gorgon’s Eyes, a god artifact that grants the wearer the abilities of a Gorgon. She uses the artifact to rob under the name Madame Medusa. Diana later finds Madame Medusa kneeling in front of a statue of a small child, weeping hopelessly. The child is her own, an unintended victim.

My Diana’s Reaction & Scene : Diana had been tracking down Madame Medusa for days, until she finally found her. But instead of a cold, vicious villain she found a grieving mother.

"You're her, aren't you...?" Diana whispered, voice low and solemn.

Madame Medusa weakly turns her head.

Her eyes narrow at the sight of Wonder Woman, not poised and ready, not even armed but just present, standing there.

Diana, with closed eyes, moves forward in a single motion. Madame Medusa barely flinches, her grief consuming any trace of fear left within.

'At least I would be reunited with my son' She thought, but instead of a swift strike or painless death, Madame Medusa felt arms wrap around her in a firm embrace.

Her eyes widen in surprise, brows furrowing in confusion, all before the floodgates release once more.

"You don't understand, there is no reversing what happened today." She hisses.

"I know." Diana responds softly "But there is hope, preventing something like this from ever happening once more. You will answer for your crimes, all the pain and devastation you caused...but that doesn't have to be the end of your story. Come with me, I have friends who can help, teach you to deal with your condition...and create a future that honors him too."

Madame Medusa glances at her petrified son, a mix of emotions bubbling underneath the surface but Diana’s words resonate.

She doesn't open up further or reciprocate the physical contact, but in that moment, Madame Medusa simply allows herself to be hugged.

Everyday a Wonder Woman Drawing until her movie comes out, day 802. A beautiful view

Do we have instances of Amazonian using Kangas in Battle? Especially as Cavalry units in Battles. First picture from Wonder Woman: Earth One

For examples:

  • Chocobo in Final Fantasy
  • Cold One Riders in Warhammer
  • HorseClaw in Nausicaa
