Which Beastars character do you think had the most potential to be the protagonist of their own story, but the series never fully capitalized on it?
I'm not necessarily referring to the most popular character or the one with the most screen time. I'm referring to a character who, because of their personality, past, conflicts, relationships, or position within society, could have easily carried their own story.
For example, there are characters like Juno, Louis, Yahya, Gosha, Jack, Pina, Melon, or even some secondary characters who have quite interesting conflicts, but who often remain in the background because the main story focuses on Legoshi and Haru.
Personally, I think this universe has enormous potential for telling stories from different perspectives. A herbivore character could show us how they truly experience discrimination from their point of view, while a carnivore could explore the conflict between their instincts and social norms in a different way. It would also be interesting to follow someone who works within the government, the police, the black market, or even someone who is simply trying to live a normal life after the events of the main story.
I'm also interested to know what you think would have happened if that character had received their own story. Would they have worked as the protagonist of a full manga? What kind of conflict should they face? Would it be a more psychological, crime, political, romantic, or even slice-of-life story?
And even more importantly: do you think that character really needed more development, or do you simply feel they had potential because the story left some things unexplored?
I'd like to know which character you would choose and how you would write your own story around them. You can choose anyone, even a character who only appeared briefly.
[@latourmelon] - Missing after credits scene Legoshi and the gang go to karaoke
Legoshi made quite the impression.
Hey guys, any artists there? Can someone give me a tip or a brush to get more closer to the actual manga artstyle??
I thought it was funny, lol
I wonder if there are characters in the Beastars world whose names are derived from berries, fruits, etc.?
I took out Beastars vol. 1 at the library today and when my sister saw the cover she said "There's Wolfoo" 😭
And I'm like "Wolfoo? His name is Legoshi!" 😭 and she said she got mixed up lmao.
Vagabond x beastars Young legoshi tries to talk to Takezõ (musashi)
tried making louis/rouis in mc
not the best but for the scale I like him hes funny
Which part of the Beastars world do you think is the least developed?
Beastars presents a world where carnivores and herbivores have spent generations trying to build a society where both can coexist, but throughout the story, we learn about many institutions, customs, and social problems that are never fully explored.
That's why I'd like to ask: what aspect of Beastars' worldbuilding do you think deserved much more attention?
It could be anything: the legal system for carnivores who eat meat, medicine and technology, education, the economy, cultural differences between species, how relationships between carnivores and herbivores work, politics, the role of the Beastars, differences between countries, the consequences of being considered a dangerous species, or even something much more specific.
Personally, I find it particularly interesting to think about the contradictions between how advanced this world seems in some aspects and the enormous questions that remain unanswered in others.
Are there any elements of the Beastars world that, after finishing the manga, made you think, "How could they never explain this?"
And if Paru had had the opportunity to dedicate several chapters exclusively to worldbuilding, what topic would you have liked her to explore in more depth?
What did you just agree to?
Homie whipped out the pinky and is making you promise, the catch? You’ll probably be murdered if you don’t follow through…
What do you think about this anime?
I liked both the anime itself and the end of season 3
The ending: not bad in principle (could have been worse)
But the anime world itself looks very good + interesting characters
(A meme to attract attention)
I'm confused
In season 2 when they say the person to catch tems killer would be the next beastar. Since Legoshi caught Riz why didn't Legoshi become the next beastar i mean it just feels like a plot hole to me.
Whats your biggest BEASTARS Hot Take?
My hot take is that all the new characters after season one ended, (except yahya, gosha, pina, rokuma, melon, leano) were NOT needed. they are RANDOM, DONT DO ANYTHING TO THE LORE, WOULDNT CHANGE ANYTHING IF THEY NEVER EXISTED. IDC if theyre cute and lovely, theyre not needed. same with the characters shown in the manga but not anime. i can understand why though. what about you? whats your hot take?
