Thoughts on Aria

I rewatched pll for the first time in years since watching it as a young teenager and I see Aria in such a different light now. Somehow when I was young Aria was my favourite character. I loved her funky style (and still do), I weirdly liked her relationship with Ezra (don’t flame me for it, I was so wrong), and I thought she was pretty.

Upon rewatching it I realise she is in my opinion the worst friend out of all of the liars, there was one specific moment I couldn’t get past that I think about often and wanted other peoples opinions on it and just on Aria in general.

When Hannah confronted Aria about Zack hitting on her. It just left such a bad taste in my mouth the way that Aria got so defensive, as I feel she does quite often when confronted with hard truths. I can’t believe she wouldn’t believe her best friend or even question Zack on it. I know she eventually comes around but it was just really upsetting how she completely shut Hannah down instantly and invalidated her feelings. I feel like Aria is very selfish and I think that is what I like least about her.

Also when Aria confronts Ella about it and Ella admits that she knew he had done things like this in the past, or at least been accused of these things in the past blows my mind and also makes me look at Ella differently too.

I also find that anytime someone she loves could be suspected as A she shuts it down instantly, even though she’s the first to throw accusations at the other liars loved ones.

Im curious to know what everyone’s thoughts are on Aria and especially the Hanna and Zack situation.

Who’s winning in a fight: Regina George vs Alison DiLaurentis vs Blair Waldorf vs Chanel Oberlin vs Heather Chandler

let me know what you think, this came to me when talking with a friend and now I’m curious to know what everyone thinks. I believe the victor it would depend on the scenario: is it a physical brawl, hunger games type of endurance fight, mental warfare…lol

The way A literally tried to kill them all

Say what you wanna say but suffocating spencer by heat in the shower, carbon monoxide poisoning Emily in that garage/shed thing, almost melting Caleb, running Hanna over, trying to burn them all alive….this show is dark af lol

Thoughts On The Perfectionists?

I only watched the pilot, and the show wasn't starting off with a bad start they were setting up a mystery that would go throughout the season. The show seems like a good idea on paper they just had to execute it properly. What did you think of the show? Do you think it was necessary?

Do these girls not understand wearing gloves or phone on silent?!

Okay I’ve been rewatching PLL and it absolutely infuriates me how STUPID these girls are for most of the series.. WHY do they not understand phone on silent??!?? They leave their ringers and notifications on at all times, it’s just crazy stupid writing and also makes the characters seem soooo supremely dumb. Like they’ve never thought a thing through in their lives. It gets worse as the seasons go on. Also, they plan and plan to “not get caught” doing all of these sneaky things but then never wear gloves?! Ugh, I know it’s just a tv show but dang.. please join me in this rant and share your “wtf” moments from the show, cause I need some solidarity right now 🫠

Should I keep watching

My husband and i have been watching this together and we just finished season 5. He's over it at this point and I don't blame him. I kinda am too. Season 5 just seemed to drag on and it feels like it should have been done by now. I did like the finale, but they also set up this like huge family secret it seems for the DiLaurentis'. Part of me wants to just make it through, the other part of me is like "maybe I'll just read the synopsis"

How's the rest of the show going? Does it get better?

I forgot how infuriating Aria’s storyline is

I’m rewatching Pretty Little Liars at 18 after first watching it when I was around 13–14, and I’m about to finish Season 2.
When I watched it the first time, I knew Ezria was “wrong,” but I don’t think I fully understood why. Rewatching it now, I’m honestly sitting here wondering what is wrong with the adults in this show.
The thing that confuses me the most is how quickly Aria falls for Ezra. She meets him at a bar, kisses him, finds out he’s her teacher, and suddenly she’s willing to lie to everyone, constantly sneak around, fight with her parents, and act like this relationship is worth risking everything for. Girl… you barely know this man.
And Ezra… why is he acting surprised that her parents don’t approve? You’re an adult dating your underage student. What exactly did you think was going to happen?
The only parent whose initial reaction actually made sense to me was Byron’s. Yes, he’s a hypocrite because of his own affair, but when he finds out about Ezra and Aria, his immediate reaction is basically, “Absolutely not. Get him away from my daughter.” That’s the reaction I expected from a parent.
Ella, on the other hand, genuinely frustrates me. She seems so concerned about Aria’s reputation and about keeping the peace instead of focusing on the fact that her teenage daughter is being groomed by an adult in a position of authority. At one point it feels less like she’s trying to protect Aria and more like she’s trying to make the situation manageable.
And when Aria threatens to expose Byron’s affair if they interfere with her relationship, the conversation somehow becomes about Aria’s behavior instead of the fact that an adult teacher is involved with their underage daughter. That just blows my mind.
I also don’t think Aria is a great friend or even a particularly likable character. I know she’s a victim in this situation, and I don’t blame her for being manipulated by an adult. That’s exactly how grooming works. But outside of that, I still find her selfish a lot of the time, especially in how she treats the people around her.
Maybe this storyline felt romantic when the show originally aired, but rewatching it now, I genuinely don’t see a love story. I see a teenager being groomed, and a bunch of adults who, after the initial shock, seem to gradually accept something that never should have been accepted in the first place.
Does anyone else feel like this on a rewatch, or is it just me?

So many PLL duos/ships…can someone explain them?

so I’m pretty early into the show, like midway through season 3, but I’ve heard and seen a lot of different duos/ships that I’d like to know more about! some of the ones I see a lot for are Spencer/Aria, Spencer/Emily, Emily/Hanna, Mona/Hanna, Aria/Emily, Mona/Spencer, Melissa/Emily, Alison/Spencer…if anyone is really big into any of these pairings and can explain why they are interested in these duos’ dynamics please let me know!

Need clarification

Did Mona hit someone she thought was Ali with a shovel, killing her, and then run into Ali like 12 hours later and help her escape? Or am I miss remembering something?

Was Mona not like who tf did I kill?

The leak about Yvonne was totally fair

Okay so, maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I did not feel sorry in any way for the leak about Yvonnes abortion.

Sorry, but if you are running on a pro life platform, but are only in the position you are, bc you yourself got an abortion, that's disgusting.

It's just fair that people know about this (in that specific case, of course medical stuff should usually not be published like that).

Would love to know how you guys feel about this.

Why are the Liars stealing whole files instead of just using their phones to take pictures?

This is one thing that always made me laugh. Hanna stole Toby’s therapy file and was freaking out in episode 7 since they realised it was stolen instead of just taking pictures of the file.
