Wren is creepier than Ezra
Wren is way more of a creep than Ezra. He is a full on DOCTOR trying to get with teens. He also goes after multiple of the liars after dating one of their sisters! Obviously Ezra is problematic, but Wren is sooo gross.

Unfortunately the polls on reddit allow only six choices, so I made a strawpoll with all the performances. Enjoy and discuss : )
Okay I know we all hate this relationship (for good reason)
But I hardly see anyone talk simply about just how dull Ezra really is, & then Aria starts taking on his drab a** traits (result of the grooming ofc). All they do is sit around listening to slow af music (not even the good kind) watching only black & white movies (no hate but fr switch it up) & SOMETIMES playing board games & reading. Even when they have heart to hearts it's so surface level! he's mayor of captain obvious/stuck up town. The writers act like she's with him because he's So Deep & gets her So well but is/does he really?? they act the characters have So much in common but really it is just Aria doing whatever HE wants, which is practically nothing!
Yes I know she does dig english outside of him but she Absolutely was not this lifeless before him. I get they wanna show he's older & “mature" but he acts like he’s in his 60s! I cannot believe teenage Aria didn't immediately get tired of always staying in his Stuffy af apartment doing literal jack sh*t!
I know this is a microscopic point compared to ALL the negatives about this coupling, however this has been driving-me-crazy! Watching her have Actual Fun with guys her Own Age & then going back to GRAMPA every-f*cking-timmeee!!
Please lmk what you guys see as his most tiresome trait; as an overall person. I get they have to hide their relationship but come on dude, I swear they only did ONE interesting thing together, when they went to that art show in the early seasons, & even that was eh. (I'm on season 5 but I read spoilers lol)
had to get get this petty rant out of my head lol
Currently on my first rewatch of PLL since I was 12 and I’m noticing some wild things. I’m sure the topic I’m writing about has been discussed so many times, but I gotta say it. Aria and Mr. Fitz were moving soooo boldly. I mean there was literally zero shame. He was begging to be arrested!
Another thing, Aria was literally running after this man so bad. She’s everywhere! His apartment, taking classes at his job, talking to him loudly and unabashedly AT SCHOOL. I keep yelling at the screen, begging her to wake up, crossing my fingers he is caught by an adult…
Lastly, I want to add that I feel like the writers made her relationship her main and most interesting storyline. They didn’t really give aria any depth or personality traits besides dating Mr. Fitz, being interested in writing, andddd yeah that’s all I got.
Side note: I love that there’s a hazardous flair tag for this exact subject
**in case the title is confusing to you, I’m not saying aria should be in jail, lol. It’s slang babes
I was shocked to see that Noel khan is a good guy in the book. And Aria ended up with him after Ezra went to jail which I was glad about. I always hated Noel khan in series though
This doesn’t make sense
I know it’s been talked about before, but currently on a rewatch (S4E20) and the way everyone reacted to Spencer on speed is SO upsetting.
First of all, E*** getting her file, abusing his power ONCE AGAIN, the girls and Toby coming at her instead of being concerned?! Not to mention her parents mainly concerned about her record instead of her wellbeing and why she went back to pills.
She’s been the key to figuring out everything and they rely on her for literally all of it she’s not a robot 😭
I guess I don’t get why everyone’s reaction was anger? Her parents I kinda understand because they’ve been through it with her before, but her best friends & boyfriend ughh especially because I don’t think I’ve seen her get that way with any of them if anything she’s always worried and concerned. The audacity!!
From People Magazine:
After a man wearing a Chucky mask threatened a woman while she was jogging in Philadelphia, a bystander intervened, saying she kicked the suspect in the chest.
On Aug. 12, at 5:18 a.m., a masked person was harassing pedestrians near 15th and Chestnut Streets and was denied service at a coffee shop, Philadelphia Police Capt. Jason Smith told NBC Philadelphia.
The suspect’s mask was similar to the Chucky doll from the Child’s Play horror movies, the Philadelphia Police Department (PPD) said in a statement.
Minutes later, the suspect began chasing a 40-year-old woman who was jogging on John F. Kennedy Blvd near Philadelphia City Hall around 5:30 a.m. The offender allegedly repeatedly asked the woman, “Are you ready to die?” while holding a phone up to her face, per the PPD. The woman stumbled, injuring her leg, per NBC Philadelphia.
Police believe the masked person is a 16- to 20-year-old man about 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was “wearing a white baby doll style Halloween mask with black hair, and a black/blue plaid backpack,” according to the statement. He was last seen walking into SEPTA’s Suburban Station.
A woman who was identified by ABC 7 as Jameka said that she also interacted with the man and tried to warn the jogger that he was following her.
“I started to wave at her across the intersection to say, ‘Hey there’s someone behind you,’” Jameka told the outlet, adding that the man then turned towards her.
In response, Jameka said she screamed for help and kicked the masked man in the chest.
“He just seemed so disoriented about what his goals actually were,” she told the outlet. “Like I had bags, he wasn’t reaching for those. It didn’t seem like he had a clear goal ... to actually do anything. So I was like, ‘Okay, well, let’s see if you can fight,’ and he couldn’t.”
Police urged citizens to call 911 immediately if they spot him and not to approach him. If the suspect is apprehended, he may face multiple charges including terroristic threats, simple assault and intimidation, per ABC 7.
Am I the only one who hates seeing people blame Spencer when it comes to Ian and Wren? Like we all know she was wrong for the flirting, but she’s not the one who initiated either kiss AND they were the ones who were with Melissa.
On Reddit, on TikTok and I’m sure on other social media they all keep saying how Spencer stole Wren and Ian.
what are y’all’s takes on this?
Can we talk about how completely backward Aria’s logic is during the ski chalet breakup? She really looks at Ezra and says, “I’m going to read this book page by page so I can see what was worth destroying everything we had.”
MA’AM. ARE YOU NOT LISTENING TO HIM?!
He literally starts his confession by admitting: “When I saw you at the bar, I TOOK ADVANTAGE.” Right there! He directly admits to exploiting her! It might not hit people like a massive "BOOM" moment on first watch, but when you actually think about the reality of this predatory relationship, it is sickening.
Everything you “had” was based on him taking advantage of you for a book! You had NOTHING! How can he destroy a relationship over a book when the relationship only started because he was hunting down a teenager to write a true-crime novel?! The "meet cute" at the bar wasn’t romantic destiny; it was a calculated targeting source material.
And then he says the quiet part out loud: “I stopped writing but started back once we broke up.”
People completely gloss over how dark that line actually is. If you stop doing something temporarily because of a person, that person isn’t a "cure;” they are just a placeholder. The moment Aria was gone, Ezra didn't mourn the breakup; he immediately plugged right back into his true obsession.
Let’s look at the absolute audacity of what he was doing while "holding back." This grown man built a literal spy Batcave in Ravenswood with high-tech surveillance, tracking cameras, and hidden floorboards.
Worse than that? He wasn’t just watching; he was actively destructive. When Spencer started getting too close to the truth, he didn't back off. He went and dug up Spencer’s old Radley medical records and addiction history. He literally tried to weaponize her mental health and frame her as a crazy, unstable liar just so Aria wouldn't believe her warnings. He was ready to completely ruin a teenage girl's sanity just to protect his manuscript. I DONT KNOW ANY AUTHOR WHOS GOING TO THIS EXTREME FOR A DAMN BOOK!!!! A BOOK!!!
The show tries so hard to frame his pause as romantic, but it completely destroys his redemption narrative. If you can just switch the exploitation back on the second she walks out the door, and gaslight her best friends to keep the secret, the villain was sitting there the entire time. Aria didn’t change his heart; she just temporarily got in the way of his word count. Smfh.
There’s soooo much more I could say but I’ll leave the rest to yall hehe!
Who watched this?!
I did watch the entire after show as it released starting with their coverage of the season 5 premiere (that's when it started). I can't believe that was 12 years ago!
I'm doing a rewatch now (mostly bc I'm bored and love pll) and their theories on Cece and Ali and Jason before they got the answer were kind of fun.
There are 65 episodes if you ever need that PLL fix.
This is one of the worst ending my eyes have ever witnessed after WEP, King's Game, and Oshi no Ko.
OK, I hope this doesn’t give any spoilers, but I literally hate Meredith on this episode because first of all you stole a phone. You lied to a mom.
bitch you ought to get slapped. 😒
maybe he reminds me of an ex of mine, but his entire demeanour gives me the ick so much (considering he's only on screen for like 3 seconds loool). it's probably his boyish, cocky nature. idk every time i get to that episode, i'm like ughhhh not again.
p.s i know he's better than ezra, but i'm not comparing.
I know it’s basically universally agreed that Troian’s accent was terrible, and I’m not even going to argue otherwise 😭 but sometimes I do feel a little bad for her when I think about how much that ending ended up overshadowing her work on PLL.
She played Spencer for seven years and was consistently considered one of the strongest actors on the show, so it’s kind of wild that one ridiculous finale choice became such a huge part of how people talk about her performance now. Obviously people are allowed to make fun of the accent or criticize the acting, but Alex Drake and that entire reveal were also the result of some genuinely insane writing choices that she had to try to sell.
And this obviously isn’t everyone. Plenty of people can separate bad writing from the actors, but I remember people getting on Troian a lot after the finale because she was defensive of the ending, and honestly I kind of get it 😭 She had worked on the show for years, so of course she was probably going to be more protective of it than the average viewer.
I’ve also seen people say things like “it’s not surprising she hasn’t worked since then,” which is literally not true, or use the Alex Drake accent as proof that she was secretly a terrible actress the entire time. Like come on 😭 You can think the accent was awful without pretending seven seasons of her playing Spencer suddenly don’t count. If anything, I think it just shows how badly the finale managed to overshadow a lot of what actually worked about the show.
