We should have had a season 3

We should have had a season 3

I'm really disappointed that the series was canceled after only two seasons. I heard it was one of the most-watched series on HBO, and it's such a shame because I found it interesting. Do you have any similar series to recommend?

This photo made me feel very nostalgic.

I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but when I see these pictures from the show, or even when I watch it, I not only feel old, but I also think about how time has flown. I wish I could go back to that first time I found Pretty Little Liars on TV, which I actually stumbled upon by chance, and I'm not exaggerating, but this show has been a part of so many moments in my life. I watched it when I was little, I watched it as a teenager, and I'm watching it now as an adult. It makes me nostalgic. I know it sounds crazy, but I would love for them to bring the show back, with the same girls, but now grown up. Not other actors, just them. I don't know if anyone else feels this way, or if I'm just having a crisis.

Why not much hate for Byron ?

Am I the only one who never understood why Ella gets treated like the bad guy when she moves out in PLL??

Like Byron literally cheated on her 😭 but somehow Aria and Mike act like SHE’S the one tearing the family apart?? Especially Aria she gets so cold toward her mum at times and I’m always sitting there like hello??? Your dad is the one who had an affair??

Why did they change Allison so much at the end of the series?

They changed their look, their way of dressing, their hair, and not only that, but also their personality. She went from being the bad bitch to being the nicest and calmest of all

Noel should have actually went to the principle himself.

Tbh i know that later on in the series, Noel becomes lobotomized and sort of like a villian because the writers can't stand anything or anyone coming between Ezria.

I am actually glad that during this scene Noel didn't blame Aria and actually thought (he was right) Aria was being manipulated, forced or brainwashed into being in a inappropriate relationship with MR.FITZ. I was so happy when he said he is willing to go to the principle with Aria. But at this point, Aria was groomed and she couldn't realise she was in fact manipulated..... and then they got married. Yay! 😭

Noel should have 100% went to the principle himself and get that pedos ass to JAIL!!!

Alison should’ve been straight who said how different do you think the show would’ve been if they kept to the books and stuck with Emily being bisexual?

Now I know I’m gonna get a lot of people hating me for context I am gay myself. But I just don’t think it was right for her character. Also not to mention some of the fans also agreeing that putting her with Emily felt like a quick way to finish both their stories and for the writers to kill 2 birds with one stone which don’t get me even started. Emily deserved better. I’m sorry but if they didn’t kill Maya, I would’ve put her with her or at least write a storyline where she met someone later than the other girls (which is ready, relatable and common with gay people) working as a swim coach at competition and fell in love. No wonder why Emily got a divorce who wouldn’t being married to Alison. Also not to mention Alison being attracted to like so many guys and the only woman being attracted to was Emily I’m sorry but what that’s not how it works and I remember other queer people calling this out.

Also, what’s everyone’s opinions on how different the show would’ve been if they stuck to the books and made Emily bisexual. I mean to be honest I think it was great representation making her a lesbian, but also the show did have character who were attracted to multiple genders. It just wasn’t talked about as much but I wonder how different it would’ve been if she was bisexual.

Do we ever meet Toby’s dad?

This is so random but do we ever meet Toby’s dad? I just rewatched and in like the last season Toby mentions his dad to Jenna, and I realized I don’t think he ever makes an appearance. Im curious his thoughts on his moms death and wished they explored this more.

So unfortunate

Rewatching PLL, and Oh gosh they’re so cute. I understand why I was so obsessed with their relationship when I was a teen…but now has an adult in my mid 20s…ugh, such a shame

Mr.Fitz is a pdfile

Hanna Marin! I love her and I love how the color red looks on her.

I can't even describe how gorgeous Hanna looked in this outfit! Now, I'd like to talk about all the liars in this series. I think Hanna and Spencer had the most style; I loved their outfits. I have to say I liked Aria's style too, but I can't quite put my finger on what kind of "style" she had. What do you think about Aria's style? And I definitely liked Mona too, since she dressed "similarly" to Hanna. But oh my god, Hanna is one of a kind! I feel like Emily dressed normally. And at first I liked Alison, but in the later seasons, they changed her style a lot.

Anyone else super disappointed with the Original Sin premise?

Original Sin sounds like the name of a prequel! I thought for SURE it would be about the parents when they were young, even if it only featured a few. Or like, same town but in the past. I was looking forward to retro fashion (fashion was so pivotal to this series), old school thriller vibes, complications because there’s no modern tech! The concept of a next Gen was so ridiculous like phones aren’t 100x more traceable than in PLL, and everyone knows someone who can track an IP address. Idk, I felt like they wasted the shot by making a sequel instead of a prequel.

It's been how long since this show ended ? And yet I still find myself debating the night Ali went missing, wondering wtf Sara Harvey's deal was, why tippy the bird was legit a MAJOR participant in solving Ali's disappearance, what the heck happened to Ian ?? the timelines, theories and plot holes of the whole show if you obsess like me and want a buddy LOOK NO FURTHER

What does everyone think of this scene?

I feel very bad for Hanna and Spencer here they don’t deserve to be pushed around by Caleb. The reason why I feel that we shouldn’t be mad at Spencer for getting with Caleb is because Hanna and him weren’t together anymore at that point, underaged Spencer dating Melissa’s boyfriends I understand but Caleb and her are now adults and there isn’t cheating involved, Hanna and Caleb went on different paths. I also find it’s funny how in the beginning of the series I was 3 and when it ended I was ten haha. Love #haleb forever.

I hate this set

(Apologies for the relfection) This is one of my biggest pet peeves in the whole show. I HATE how fake this plane is. There isn't even any glass 😭😭 the way it just jiggles about.

Andrew Campbell as A

I would have guessed he was A after his invite for Aria to come to see a movie about "a shadowy figure that knows everybody's secrets", and he would have made DUCH an amazing A.

Should the liars have been more unlikeable and cruel to deliver a believable motive for -A in the show?

I know writers understandably don’t want to make their main characters too unlikable so the audience can still relate to them and the fact that the liars in the books were more unlikeable works there because it’s in book form with its perks as you can read their thoughts and understand their motivations

but I to this day I’m still wondering if it would’ve been better if the liars were more unlikeable and cruel to deliver a motive for A to go above and beyond to torture them

Mona hated them because of how they bullied her back then which is a good motive but pales compared to the books where her motives also included revenge for jenna and getting burned herself when she witness the tree house incident they even watered-down this for the show

Apart from the jenna thing and the bullying the girls didn't do any terrible things most of the bad things they end up doing are also because A made them

Idk i just think it would have been better if they had done some bad deeds together for the sake of creating good second A motives (cece as A didn't even have a good motive to begin with) like if they had tried to manipulate and take down melissa and ian but in a more devious way than what happened in the show with worse consequences for them then Melissa would have some solid motivation to hate them all for her husbands death and her miscarriage

if they wanted cece to be A from the beginning they should have focused on delivering her good motives to hate all the liars

Or would this not work for the show because the characters had to be kept likable

Did Ian know Ali was alive?

Maybe it's dumb but I've been thinking that there's a possibility Ian knew Ali was alive. Before she pushed him off the bell tower he asks her what she was doing there which is kind of a strange reaction, that's definitely not the question most would ask if they saw someone who was presumed dead. He also had a lot of dirty secrets that he kept to himself so I wouldn't be surprised if this was one of them.
