What is your favorite browser font? Also, how can I get the iPhone Bengali font on Helium?

I am looking for recommendations on the best fonts to use for browsing on Helium. What is your favorite font for readability and aesthetics?

Additionally, I need to know the specific steps to get the official iPhone Bengali font working on Helium for reading Bangla content. Please share your solutions below.

Mist 1.11.0 — You can now share your entire start page setup

Hey👋

I’ve just released a new update for Mist.

The main addition: you can now privately share your custom setup with someone else, including your wallpaper and generated color palette.

You create a share link → they preview it → import it into their own Mist setup.

I also improved the theme editor with:

  • editable HEX colors
  • palette locking & variations
  • live preview
  • contrast warnings
  • better mobile UI

I’m also working on a community gallery / Hall of Fame where people will be able to optionally publish their wallpapers + setups for others to discover and import.

I’d really like some feedback from Chrome users:

Would you actually use a community gallery for new-tab setups? And what would you want Mist to add next?

My experience using Helium for the last couple of weeks,

I've always been somewhat specific when it came to browsers in the sense that I'd rather have a 'functionally, kinda quiet, little toaster that is good at doing one thing well like say providing damn good slice of toast every morning' than say 'a full fledged war-tank that can do everything and nothing.' It's a strange analogy, I know. But I think that's why I like Helium.

I even like that the main search engine is Duck Duck Go, and works in perfect tandem with their optimized UBO that comes pre-installed out of the box. I barely had to get more extensions mostly proton vpnn and say bonjourr (minimalist new tab page). Just awesome that it isn't trying to pretend to do a whole lot but when it does it it can be efficient at simply being a good browser. I didn't know how to feel about making it my default browser, however, it proved that it could be that and more. Glad I finally gave it a chance.

Not that deep of a post or whatever, just me realizing how much I like Helium overall. I also enjoy using 'chrome colors theme: classic blue' because it just fits the overall vibe of the classic hellium look imo.

Why only 10 shortcuts on New tab page

I simply don't understand why only 10 shortcuts are available on the new tab page. I couldn't find anything about this in the settings. Does anyone know if this is on the developers' roadmap?

Whats on yalls toughts on Titanium Browser?

for me its Honestly good enough fits me needs:

-> its really fast and light weight

-> Private because of the Vanadium Base it uses (grapheneOS'es Own browser)

-> And can support Opera,Chrome and Edge Extensions yet it can be a privacy concern

-> My problem it can be very buggy time to time yet it is really new so i can still give it credit just hope this project goes on for a longer period with its original Desktop browser helium

The browser I was looking for

I was a long time edge user but sadly it doesn't work on my laptop anymore (I have a macbook 2015 on Monterey so I knew it was coming).

I've been using Helium for a week and it's been the best browser I've ever used. It's so fast and lightweight and just works. Going forward, Helium will always be my browser of choice.

Google doesn't load time to time and it gets fixed by itself

Sometimes I try to enter Google or Gemini (all Google services) websites, and it simply gets stuck at loading. I do the same on other browsers while this issue happens and they work fine. I can't reproduce this either since some days it doesn't happen and on some it happens multiple times, it just decides to do it by its own and gets fixed by its own randomly, even relaunching the browser doesn't fix it until it decides to fix itself.

Can you remove sponsored results from Bing?

I've been trying out some new browser recently because Firefox is getting worse and worse. I know Bing is not good. In fact its horrible. But I'm a broke boy and the rewards points are nice to cash in every once in a while. Now, with Firefox + Ublock, I do not see sponsored results on Bing. I installed Helium, ported over my bookmarks (but you can't import passwords??), and went to make a search. What appeared was a wall of sponsored links so big that I couldn't even view the real result without scrolling. Below are images of the search result when looking up "chatgpt"

Outlook and Gmail keep asking me to log in again - any fix?

Every time I open Outlook or Gmail in Helium, it asks me to log in again. Chrome and Edge keep me logged in without any issues. Is there a setting that stops Helium from clearing my session, or a way to whitelist these sites so they stay logged in?

Do pinned tabs increase RAM usage? Currently at 2.5GB with all my regular pages pinned

I've pinned pretty much all my regular pages (email, calendar, a few work tools, etc.) so I don't have to keep reopening them every session. Right now Helium is sitting at around 2.5GB RAM usage and I'm wondering if pinning tabs is actually contributing to that.

Does a pinned tab behave any differently from a regular tab in terms of memory usage, or is it purely a UI/organization feature with no real RAM impact? Curious if pinned tabs stay fully loaded in the background at all times, or if they get suspended/unloaded like normal inactive tabs when memory is tight.

Would appreciate insights from anyone who's looked into this or knows how Helium handles it under the hood.
