Is there a reason Helium doesn't support this hover reveal for the left sidebar?

I mean, Chrome has supported it for a few versions now. It's such a nice feature, like Arc's.
EDIT: This is essentially achievable by toggling on frameless mode. Thank you!

it's all so "meh"

this may just be another rant, but I was talking to a colleague the other day when I recommended Dia, and they asked why. the only thing I could come up with was “It’s kind of good looking...”

the AI sidebar? every browser has it with ChatGPT/Claude extensions, or a native Gemini sidebar in Chrome, not to mention the agentic stuff Aside offers.

vertical tabs? available in every chromium browser.

one-window profiles? yeah, that's maaaybe a differentiator.

but using Dia today doesn’t feel any better than using Chrome, if anything, Chrome is far more stable for any kind of use.

Dia's just so underwhelming at this point, bunch of bugs, it's nowhere near Arc still, which is the only reason I’m here in the first place and Arc's release notes are probably more exciting at this point.

above all, The Browser Company Atlassian wants users to pay $100/m for a morning report that I can replicate with my robot in a few minutes?

The amount of dark patterns this company has implemented to trick you into staying a paying customer should be illegal

I canceled the Whoop subscription a few days ago, and today I woke up to find that I was subscribed again.
If I cancel again, will I stay unsubscribed or will they just resubscribe me again? Can I report this to someone?

EDIT 1: I've replaced my card with an empty one and canceled once again, let's see what happens

EDIT 2: following this thread I've noticed bots are downvoting every comment saying something negative about whoop

Arc is breaking, and Dia isn't the solution

Since they abandoned it, Arc has had many cracks, but the recent YouTube fullscreen issue is the one that finally broke it.

More than a year since introduction, Dia is still missing so many things, and it still feels like a browser in beta with all the bugs. What's worse, the pace of development isn’t picking up, and I don't think that'll improve since they're owned by Atlassian now.

So, while I’m writing this from Arc, I’m in the process of moving everything back to Chrome, as I need a Chromium browser for work. Chrome is so stable, I really appreciate that.

I'll use Velja macOS app for "air traffic control". Tab Flick extension for Ctrl+Tab tab switching. Copy Current URL extension for copying the URL of the active tab.

Zen is Firefox based, all other chromium Arc copycats will be abandoned eventually. All in all, I think Chrome is the best solution for me, for the foreseeable future.

Kind of annoying how Arc has these hardcoded old icons for favorites. Watch how the favicons change.

Some favicons aren't updating to the new ones, e.g. Gmail and WhatsApp

Nothing has come even remotely close to Arc's productivity boost

This little player across spaces deserves more appreciation

I mean, a lot of Arc's features deserve appreciation, the fact that we have spaces at all, but this little player is just sooo handy.

I remember they said somewhere that they're not sure whether it'll get implemented. I don't see a reason why we wouldn't have it as an opt-in functionality.
