The only actually useful ai tool I've ever used: you could hit command F to find something but actually talk to it and ask it questions about the page/article you're looking at. It could even be used in PDFs opened through the browser. I used to use this all the time. What the heck happened to it?

As the title explains when I'm scrolling through a page, after I lift my fingers, the page kinda jerk scrolls up or down depending on where I'm scrolling toward. I've tried zen browser and other apps on my macbook as well but it seems to only happen on arc. It also doesn't happen consistently it sometimes happens. It has been happening for 1 to 2 weeks after the latest update. Hopefully they'll fix this issue but I doubt it. Maybe it's time to ditch arc but zen still doesn't cover all bases so I don't really know what would be my daily driver. (Not Dia, lol - they fixed a huge issue by getting rid of all the clutter and giving you a full view of the web page then ditched it and went back so dumb...)

Any advice or fixes would be helpful or if you've encountered a similar issue I'd like to hear from you.

I'm hitting a wall with one specific workflow: creating standalone desktop apps from websites.

On Brave/Chromium you can Install any page app - which is tremendously useful - because once you install a page as an app: it lives on the dock, it is a standalone window and I can switch easily using cmd+tab.

I know that may exist a couple of argumenta against creating that feature:

1. menu complexity, which is probably against Arc's design system
2. user flow, the favorites at the top probably is Arc's closest solution to this.

But it doesn't get close to a native mac experience for websites that I use a lot. That I need that extra OS layer integration.
I've switched to Arc about 2 years ago, and I still to this day use Brave because of this sole feature.

What annoys me is: when I click links inside the App window it opens a Brave window - which I don't want - I'd love for it to open inside Arc.

This feature is huge guys! Consider it seriously.

Finally joined Dia after over 4 years on Arc. Few things I instantly miss so far:

• Little Arc / tiny window for quick searches
• Being able to type a website like YouTube, hit *tab which allows you to search within YouTube or Reddit, etc. - this is such an essential feature that I wish they bring back. Within context or speedy workflows, this is a game-changer
• Workspaces - just... why take away?
• Cleaning up tabs - not the auto-delete feature, but the "sweeping" animation that auto-sorts all of your tabs. On days that I open a couple dozen tabs for saving later, this was so helpful in organizing and being to close out groups if I was done with them.

Anyways, hoping that these things are reinstated and I'd be happy to take any suggestions on workflow upgrades from Arc that I don't know about yet, or any other resources/channels that give some deep workflow guides on Dia. I had joined at the initial launch but it was missing too many essentials at the time, so I uninstalled within an hour. So I don't have previous newsletters/updates to go off of.

Welp.. here's to hopefully building a cool browser and keeping it around this time.

How are folks handling workflows between Arc and Dia, since there's an Arc mobile app, but no Dia mobile app?

When they introduced Sync to Dia, I was hopeful this would cross-sync with Arc, but it doesn't appear to. So when I find something on my mobile that I want to pin to Dia, no dice. This is extra frustrating given that I actively move between Windows and Mac/iOS. With Arc, everything syncs.

This is disruptive enough for my workflows that I'm considering going back to Arc as a primary browser and just using Dia when I need the built-in AI features.

I guess I'm just hitting the limitations of a Beta product?

Lates update installed, all my sessions, logins, extensions etc are all gone...

Been using Arc since the dawn of time, and had no complaints and even after they discontinued, it's been good enough to use, but damn this is annoying

Has anyone had this before, is it possible to restore back?

Any other browser recommendations, with sidebar, chrome sidebar is dogshit

basically just what the title says, I'm not quite sure what's causing it I have windows updated fully and I have recently done the arc update. it's honestly really disappointing because I've been using the browser for over 3 years and its exam season so I don't really have the time to learn Vivaldi or other good alternatives. for now I'm stuck using Edge for a bit because at least it has good vertical tabs without needing extensions lol. is anyone else having this problem?

Yeah, my Arc got a new update the other day and since then The app will not display websites, and will not even start anymore. Have tried re-installing, uninstalling and installing again, but the error persists/comes back.

The solution currently working for me was to install an older version using the terminal tool winget. I believe winget is installed on all Windows machine by default. You can use it by opening a terminal window like Windows Terminal, cmd, or PowerShell.

Show available version of Arc: winget show TheBrowserCompany.Arc --versions

Install a specific version of Arc: winget install TheBrowserCompany.Arc --version 1.103.0.239

So far the version above works for me on Windows 11.

OS : Sequoia (last update)

For the last 2/3 days, some of my extensions seem to have stopped working :

uBlock Origin Lite : I can’t access the settings. The extension’s gear icon isn’t responding.

TWP Translate : Page translations are either missing, broken, or only partially translated.

Question : Are you experiencing this too ?
