I recently picked up this 1842 Bavarian 2 Thaler, and was surprised by its thickness. Most of my other 2 Thalers are 40-41mm. This one is 38mm and reminds me of a 1oz bullion round.

This particular coin commemorates the marriage of the Crown Prince of Bavaria (Maximilian) to the Princess of Prussia (Marie).
