I put a hole in transite flue pipe

Obligatory - yep I'm an idiot, trust me i feel i f'd up pretty bad here!

Alright with that out of the way. I was mounting a TV in my bedroom, hit some resistance, and just went head and pushed through, and mounted the TV. There is a closet with a wooden wall liner on the otherside, so I thought it was related to that. I was putting a floating shelf above the tv when I hit it again, pretty high up on the wall. So I did some more investigating, and it turns out, this is exactly where my flue pipe is located. Had HVAC company come out, they confirmed - I drilled into asbestos transite flue pipe. They stopped work immidiately and gave me the number to a remediation company, who is coming out to diagnose it on Friday.

Their take, the remediation company would have to remove the pipe and they put in a new one. Off the cuff a new flue installed would be $2500 - does not include the remediation steps or wall repair after all is said and done. Im guessing I'm going to be out 5k after all is said and done.

I'm waiting for a borescope to arrive tomorrow to confirm - did the toggle bolts I put in go inside of the flue? Is there cracking around where I drilled? I still have not removed the screws.

Asking here - is this something that is patchable, assuming the plastic toggle did not go inside the flue, or is rip and replace my only option here?

I understand this can be quite severe; asbestos, furnace exhaust gases - pretty much a worst-case scenario.
