Part 2 — Maybe It’s My Fault
I’ve had a few experiences after texting people from Reddit, and honestly, maybe I’m partly at fault.
I’ve talked to three different people so far, and somehow it always ends the same way. My work and commitments get in the way, I get busy, replies become slower and eventually the conversation just gets dry until neither of us texts again.
I’m 29, 172cm, male, working in government while also running a few stable businesses on the side. My biggest problem is probably time. Between work, handling my businesses, gym, and getting enough sleep, my schedule is usually packed.
I’m also a quiet and introverted person, so I’m probably not the most exciting person to text all day. My life is honestly pretty routine and dull sometimes.
But I’d still like to get to know someone who understands that. Someone who doesn’t need constant attention or texting, but still wants something genuine when we do have time for each other.
Maybe I just haven’t met the right person yet. Or maybe I need to learn how to make more room for someone.
