Being at the bottom of the ramp pay scale is tough. I really value the flexibility of the job though. Wanting to make the jump to supervisor. So how flexible is being a supervisor at a major airline? I’d imagine at a major hub there’s probably a few hundred supervisors to trade with???
I am thinking of transferring to Denver ramp for SWA and would love some insight from somebody working there. Anything I should know before putting in there? Biggest thing for me would be flexibility like picking up doubles one week then maybe taking 1-3 months off once or twice a year. Thanks.
Is part time more flexible than full time? Like would it be easier to give away the shortened part time shifts compared to full time? Overall is flexibility better as a part time employee? Is there any major downsides to being part time compared to full time ?
I’m curious what airline has the best flexibility for a ramp agent? To be constantly shift trading and taking off a few weeks to a few months off periodically throughout the year?
What airlines do not have minimum hour requirements. I know Southwest Airlines doesn’t but I was curious what other airlines don’t have a minimum hour requirements for ramp agents where you could consistently give away almost all your shifts?
