I went to my local music shop's guitar tech for some fret buzz and they gave me a quote of $250.

They said that the entire fret board is inconsistent and they would have to file it all down. They also said that the saddle has a different radius than the fretboard so they would have to make deeper grooves on the outermost strings to offset the 'flatness' of the saddle.

Then after that was done they would do a standard relief adjustment and intonation check.

Im curious if this is all a fair price or if I'm being upselled.

I also live in a VHCOL area (SF) if that matters.
