Pretty tops?
So one of my freinds recently got into boots and asked my why we cover the tops of our boots, and I kinda blew him off because of course we cover the top of our boots.
But really thinking about it I own a couple pairs with pretty tops that are have the reason I bought the things, so my question is, why do we cover the tops of boots, and is the a reason to by boots with pretty tops?

Exotic with boot stitching
Does anyone know of exotic boots that have the stitching on the toe box (I believe it to be called the medallion) I’ve looked a bit and it seems to be case by case, but if anyone has any recommendations that would be great
(For recommendations, I prefer a light colored shaft with a darker shank)
