I’ve seen python, rattlesnake, water snake, and a few other types of snake skins out there but don’t really know the difference between them besides the different patterns. Even then rattlesnakes sometimes have a different pattern to them depending whether it’s the belly or back?
I’m looking to purchase a new pair of boots in snake skins but don’t really know what to look out for to really appreciate the boot fully.
are some snakes more expensive than others? Depending on their patterns?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
What are we thinking are these print or are these authentic. Only Tagged Vaccari on inside
I’m a relative newcomer to boots.
I recently got a pair of Ariat benchmade clantons. Beautiful boots. Lovely leather , gorgeous pattern. Great construction. I’m very happy!
They’re my first roper boots. They’re a smidge loose (solvable with socks) but I do notice they’re a bit ‘clumpy’. Heavier, compared to my full sized Tecovas. Is that typical for the roper style ?
And my real question is : are the benchmade James also ‘clumpy’ heavier boots (like the Clanton but with taller shaft and sloped heel) or are they a different sort of build?
I work in a farm, so the pair that im going to use as workbuts is going to get F, i was thinking to leave the dark ones for dressing, but after using the other ones today i really liked them. What do you reckon?
Brother, it's okay if your boot gets scuffs, marks, scratches, etc... that's what they're meant for (expensive exotics get a pass I suppose)
Lucchese smooth ostrich 7 toes this evening 🤙🏼
My first pair of cowboy boots are these Ariat Sport Pardner. Love the red shafts. They’re quite comfortable especially after I swapped out the insoles. Probably looking to get a pair of Dan Post Kingsly sometime.
Hyer boots recently released boots "inspired by" the ones Marilyn Monroe wore in her final film, The Misfits (1961). Hyer made the original boots and decided to make these in honor of what would be her 100th birthday. As a huge vintage fashion and cowboy boot enthusiast I ordered them. I'm so excited about them I wanted to post here and share with folks who will understand. In my opinion they are a pretty faithful reproduction based on pictures of the actual boots! They are nice and thick leather and well crafted. (They smell amazing to boot)
Here's a link if anyone is curious about what the OG boots looked like:

I can never quite tell if my ball joint is lined up perfectly with the widest part of the boot. Got these Lucchese’s that make my toes just slightly tingly after wearing them for a little bit but other than that feel pretty good. Is my ball of my foot lined up with the widest part of the sole?
2nd pair of Rod Patrick, won’t be my last; long wait for these in my size.
Google is telling me it’s elephant 😢. I was going to have them resoles and give them to my boyfriend but probably won’t if they’re elephant. Can anyone please provide more information? I found them at the goodwill bins, the top leather feels like really nice nubuck. The bottom doesn’t feel like anything I’m familiar with. They’re marked “made in USA” style 3455 and registered number “31179 8”.
Hi everybody. I fell in love with cowboy boots recently and am looking to add them to my wardrobe.
My question for ya'll who have experience wearing cowboy boots is; do you consider rubber or leather soles to be more durable?
For some context; I live in NYC . I probably will wear the boots close to everyday, along with wearing them while I play gigs.
Any thoughts/comments are appreciated. Thanks.
These are the double H baler. Currently on sale right now on the official double h website for about half off. Snagged them for 169$ with taxes and shipping. I love the pull out effect with the uppers, absolutely beautiful basket weave stamp pattern. Upper is unlined, the bottom is lined with synthetic material I think. The insole is removable and thank god, because it is thin and provides no support or comfort! The thin insole paired with the very hard and tough outsole makes for painful walking boots. But if you want something snazzy, great for hard work, these are perfect. I wear a 9.5ee in round and j-toe, cutter toe shapes, but I went down to a 9ee for these and they fit perfect. I also own the double H Robert’s and the ag7 outsole is just as hardworking but better for walking imo. Also from what I could tell, these are not final sale, so if they don’t fit you can return them another size, shipping at your expense 👍 thank yall so much, these are my favorite boots as of right now
Got these for 5 bucks vintage narconas wanted to see they are repairable
I was shopping at my local Tractor Supply out in Jersey , looking over some hay for my crops. For some reason the hay keeps the wild mushrooms from spreading, when an older fella struck up a conversation. He noticed my western wear right away(Vintage pan-handle slim shirt). He introduced himself as a retired livestock farmer from Oklahoma, who had transitioned into working as a local vet and got in to the franchise part of the biz. We ended up talking for nearly an 1/2 hour about livestock, Jersey acreage and the New York douchbags who buy up the land. Most importantly we chatted about the timeless art of well-crafted western wear. Feeling an immediate kinship, he completely caught me off guard by inviting me over to his farm/winery for dinner with his wife later that night to continue the conversation over a home-cooked meal. Before we parted ways, he told me to wait right by the counter while he stepped out to his Mini cooper. He returned holding a beautifully preserved pair of vintage Justin's cowboy boots, explaining that they were the ones he wore on his wedding day back in 79. Insisting that a true appreciate-er of quality western style should have them, he handed them over as a gift, free of charge. He was headed to Goodwill to donate them right after tractor supply . I left the store not only with a new pair of boots to add to my wardrobe but also with a new friend and a fancy duck dinner I had that night. Last week, I went to Hobby lobby got the top of the box framed and im giving it to him next week on his wedding anniversary. He said this to me upon parting.. "Husky you may not have 1000 acres of land and the livestock to go with it, but you are a cowboy at heart. You live and breath grit, integrity and the American spirit so stop wearing those bricks on your feet you call square toes!" Today I updated my will and it reads.. Bury me in mr.commacks boots no exceptions. And thats my story about these boots.
