Anyone got recs for modern streetgrass? Is anyone even really doing this style anymore? I'm thinking like the Farmageddon sound and .357 String Band especially. The closest I've heard recently is Big Richard - Pet which came out earlier this year and is awesome, so check them if you haven't heard em yet. But yeah otherwise haven't heard a ton.

Does anyone have an idiot-proof tutorial for programming black metal drums in Reaper? I have some experience with Ableton but that was years ago and a completely different type of music. Been writing some freaky, riffy songs lately on guitar in the vein of Mortuary Drape, Negative Plane, KPN and Grave Pilgrim so it'll be a bit raw and the drums don't need to be insanely polished, I just need to know how to program them lol any tips appreciated

Nothing critical since a new pair is still a ways away but will W&C DS be back in more options in the future? I know there were some supply issues in the past, and this has probably been covered, I'm just out of the loop.

Finally listening to this record and I gotta say, it's probably one of the best modern raw USBM albums I've heard.

Gumshoes, I don't mean to get you down on a Friday, but this last week has been an all-out assault on endangered species and the Endangered Species Act.

Last Friday, Trump moved to basically make it so companies, the government and even you can go and clearcut a forest where the last, say, spotted owl lives, and as long as you're not running over the owl with a tractor or shooting it, that's now completely legal.

Earlier this week, they changed rules to make it easier for shithole states like Wyoming to kill grizzly bears.

Today, just now, they stripped species protected as 'threatened' of automatic habitat protections.

All of this is obviously designed to enrich corporations, but man it's fucking bleak. These moves will all lead to long, drawn-out legal battles and many of them could be overturned. But in the meantime wildlife and plants all across the United States and territories will suffer and some could even go extinct. If they're not reversed, then it's lights out for many, many more species.

This is bad. And I don't mean to doompill you because there are a lot of people fighting this, but you should be aware. Stay frosty and be good to animals, plants and bugs. Extinction is forever.

Think it's girly or not manly enough? That's cool, enjoy your walker, bud.

Seriously, I'm not trying to shill for gym instructors or paid classes or whatever, but I started doing barre classes with my wife several years ago and it's hard to overstate how much more stable I feel walking around, how much better my knees and hip muscles feel, and how much strength it builds with light weights and body weights. It makes weight training days more productive too because it works all of those non-flashy muscles that are easy to skip at the gym, but which are absolutely critical for your health, stability and long-term mobility. Plus the classes are fun.

That's why my #1 recommendation for everyone over 30, but especially fellow dudes considering this sub, is just start doing some barre classes every week. You can even find free routines on Youtube I'm sure if you're not at a gym. I plan to keep walking as long as I'm alive.

Mostly interested in an occult/first wave/war/melo hodgepodge sound vs symphonic bm or Mayhem clones. Been listening to lots of Mortuary Drape, Archgoat, Dawn, WITTR, Negative Plane, Ungfell. No fascists.
