Boomerbook figured out that I like black metal, and now like half of the sponsored posts on my feed are for outright fascist or fascist adjacent black metal, despite all of my actual follows being manifestly not fascist bands. Same on youtube, as soon as it figured out I was listening to black metal, half of my suggested videos are 'BEST BANDS ON SKETCHY BLACK METAL LIST' and whatnot.

Not really sure the point of posting this per se other than to be like holy shit, more evidence that big tech is cooked.

If you haven't heard this album yet, definitely check it out asap. A perfect blend of country and soul just in time for summer. Dude deserves way more exposure imo

Hey all, going through the coupon clipping ritual in the app and noticed that there doesn't seem to be an option for $20 for redeeming 1,200 points any more. I'm at 1,500 points right now, so it should be showing up. Instead, it says I can redeem 700 points for $10 off. Would be unfortunate if corporate canned the $20 off, but I wonder if that's what's happened.

Calling it now. Paisley button downs or Wrangler Brushpopper style shirts are gonna make a mainstream comeback in the next six months.

So apparently I'm out of the loop and bands like Trichomoniasis are being called free death, which I'm cool with since it's almost at a point where it doesn't even sound recognizably like death metal anymore lol

But it's sick.

Anyone got some recs? And to make this not just a recs thread, what do you think about death metal moving towards this extreme?

Man that hit hard. As a lifelong Washingtonian who has lived in Ellensburg in the past, Mark was one of our central Washington local heroes. Hearing about how important Seattle and Mark were to Queens and Josh at the end of the set was unforgettable. What a band. RIP Mark.

Still blown away by this album after every spin. 5/5 from me.

Charley signs to a big label who promised him everything. He has a three record contact. He quickly burns out on it and decides to crack out all three records in a year. Hints at what's coming next with "Me & Shooter" on AotR. Records and releases Clovis less than a month later as a middle finger to Island Records.
