I’ve got an interview tomorrow for a Regional Maintenance Manager position. I’m currently a Maintenance Supervisor, so I’d really appreciate any insight from those who’ve been through the process. What should I expect?

Hello everyone, I’ve been a maintenance supervisor for a while now with Greystar and I do enjoy it but I think it’s time to step up.

I manage a small community and I understand going into a bigger community will pay more but I’d like to know what are my options if I want to step up. I’ve been applying to director/manager positions also in residential with no luck, what can I do to increase my chances ? I make about 70k a year and would like to be around 90

I have EPA universal and CPO

UMPJE

Update: I passed!! results were out on 4/21

Hello everyone! I took my UMPJE. One exam down, one to go!

I wanted to write this review for anyone preparing for it.

First things first: my state was one of the early adopters of the UMPJE, which was great news for me. I applied for eligibility immediately, and it literally took 2 days to get approved.

Once I gained eligibility, I purchased the exam right away. It costs $350, more expensive than the standard MPJE, and I scheduled it for April 2nd.

My prep strategy:

  • I purchased the UMPJE package from Pharmlaw . It includes a concise law summary and a question bank. Controls Brand/Generic names included AND watched Masterclass umpje on youtiube which filled the gaps Pharmlaw had. The videos are MCQs and cover a wide range of topics for free, some people even relied solely on them and passed so i highly recommend!

About the exam:

  • The questions were relatively easy, focusing mainly on federal laws and controlled substances. some questions were out of the blue as expected.

One pleasant surprise was that when I purchased the test, I received a coupon for a free pre-UMPJE because I was among the first candidates to schedule my UMPJE during the April 1–12 window. The actual exam was very similar in style to the pre-UMPJE, so I highly recommend taking it.

Some pointers for you,

  • DSCSA
  • DEA forms and their use
  • label and Rx requirements
  • controls ( their schedules, refills, expiry, inventory )
  • compounding hazardous
  • CPA
  • counseling and DUR requirements
  • Pharmacy techs and intern duties
  • pharmacist responsibilities in certain situations
  • inserts and Medguides needed for certain medications
  • pseudoephedrine sale limits and logs
  • HIPAA
  • adulteration and misbranding

If your state offers/will offer the UMPJE, I highly suggest taking it, that way if you move between UMPJE-adopted states you won’t have to retake it.

Good luck!

NEW SEASON UPON US

As we welcome a new wave of foreign graduates, this guide outlines the process.

Before registering for the FPGEE you need to pass TOEFL so I suggest you clear that first then you can officialy start.

required score is Reading 21, Listening 22, Speaking 25, and Writing 22, all achieved in one test sitting at an approved test center inside the USA (no at-home or MyBest scores accepted).

https://toeflibt.ets.org/welcome  That's the website where you can create an account for the TOEFL and register. Use code 9103 so that they send the score to NABP directly. You can't mail your own report. Test cost $250 for each try.

Let's say you pass TOEFL and want to start the process for the FPGEE. Create an E-profile https://nabp.pharmacy

And pay the FPGEC fee 750$

1,2) Print and notarize the FPGEC Attestation; get two identical passport-style photos (one attached to the attestation), and a properly certified photocopy of your acceptable photo ID (NABP prefers passport). This is the attestation HERE. The photo attached to the attestation must be sealed by the notary and the seal affixed across the photo ( away from face ).

Please note that it must be notarized in the USA because they need to verify it. Also, any photocopy of your ID/Passport must have the following sentence on it “I have reviewed the original document and attest that this is a true and exact copy of the original.” WORD FOR WORD by the notary. If they refuse to do so, go somewhere else. UPS is my preferred notary.

  1. Also, proof of foreign pharmacist license/registration in english. Must be permanent, unrestricted, certified by the issuing government agency, in a SEALED envelope. The envelope must be stamped and the stamp affixed across the flap.

1,2,3 must be sent to NABP directly. address is

>National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP)

>ATTN: FPGEC

>1600 Feehanville Drive

>Mount Prospect, IL 60056

simultaneously request your ECE evaluation (General Evaluation Report) and have a copy sent to NABP. That's the website  https://www.ece.org  create an account and follow instructions to order an evaluation report for your official transcripts and proof of degree. note that both official transcripts and proof of degree MUST be SEALED by the university as well before sending it to ECE. you have to mail your documents to ECE. their address is

>Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc.

>101 W. Pleasant Street, Suite 200

>Milwaukee, WI 53212-3963

they will send the report to NABP when done. you don't have to do that. Report cost $140

NABP starts evaluation after all documents are in and take 8 weeks to finish the evaluation. When accepted to the FPGEC program, you become eligible to register for the FPGEE. You now have to pay another $750. After you register, Pearson VUE emails your Authorization to Test (ATT) with scheduling instructions. You can’t schedule without the ATT. After that FPGEE Identification Card (FIC) will be mailed to you which you must present the day of the exam. make sure your eprofile address is correct and accurate to avoid delays.

if you have a deficiency they will let you know so you can send documents needed accordingly.

Please note that

>A) if your pharmacy program wasn't a 5-year program (Master degree might be an alternative in case by case basis)

>B ) if you can't obtain unrestricted license by your country ( if your country requires it )

>C) can’t pass TOEFL

you are not eligible for the FPGEE so don't waste your money.

Also, If you can't obtain a permanent status in the USA by the time you pass the FPGEE don't bother because internship require that and a social security number. Sponsorships are very rare.

If you pass the FPGEE you can now start looking for internships. There are NO waivers for internships no matter the experience you had back home. You can now move to this subreddit for information.

When you finish your internship you are now eligible to take the NAPLEX and MPJE which are the licensing exams, When you pass these congratulations you are now an official pharmacist!

Timeline: about 2 years.

if your name on your E-profile doesn’t exactly match your ID/passport you'll need to send two things: your signed and dated Request for Name Amendment (notarized) and a notarized photocopy of your passport so they can update the name.

Double-check that the notary writes: "I have reviewed the original document and attest that this is a true and exact copy of the original" on the copy.

AFFIDAVIT OF NAME CLARIFICATION I,........ , wish to amend my name in my NABP e-Profile (ID: ) to appear as ....., with "........." as my middle name. Signed this…..day of ….. ,2026

Name and sign

Notary public:

Happy to help with any inquiry!
