Is it normal to cry a lot watching Bluey? Asking for a friend

Hi. A friend (me) is watching Bluey for the first time and is wondering if it's normal to cry a lot? I'm mostly watching it alone, as my baby's 12 months, and gets tired of TV quickly. (Also I'm not encouraging a lot of TV watching for her yet).

About the crying, I'm split between thinking it's unresolved trauma and stuff (I'm AuDHD, late diagnosed, and been to therapy on/off for 10+ years), postpartum hormones and Bluey just hitting differently. Is there a sweetspot for getting choked up, or should I be concerned?

What's people's experiences?

Is this repairable? Or should I trash it?

I got this baby's toy from a friend who thrifted it. The batteries were old and leaking, so she replaced them to no avail. I've now opened the toy up, and the wires have been disconnected from the rest, so the batteries aren't connected to anything. I'm not an electrician, I'm studying for a Master's in Comparative Literature, but I do have the will to try, if I can get some help in what to do.

Does anyone know if it's safe and possible to rewire this toy? If not, I'll dispose of it safely, and remove the batteries.
