I switch from Galaxy to Pixel watch
I switched from a Galaxy Watch 9 to the Pixel Watch 4 and honestly, I can never go back.
The biggest surprise for me is the battery. I basically never have to think about it anymore. I just put the watch on the charger for a few minutes once a day while I am taking a shower and that is it. Even with everything turned on, including Always On Display, GPS, automatic workout tracking and all the other stuff, I get at least two full days out of it. Most of the time it is actually closer to three days without any charging.
Everything also feels incredibly smooth. Apps open quickly, animations are buttery smooth and Gemini responds noticeably faster.
And the Raise to Talk feature is honestly fantastic ( on watch 9 it was not even close, always activate when i dont want it, and nearly never when i wanted it to activate ).
It sounds like a small thing, but once you get used to it, it is hard to go back.
But the thing that impressed me the most is the Google Health app.
I have never seen anything like this on a smartwatch before. It genuinely feels like having a personal health coach that actually knows your data. You can talk to it about your health, your activity, your sleep and all kinds of other things, and it gives you specific tips and advice based on your own data.
The whole experience just feels so much more intelligent to me than what I was used to with Samsung. With the Galaxy Watch, a lot of the health data felt more like numbers you could look at. With the Pixel Watch 4, it feels much more like something you can actually interact with and learn from.
The one downside is that the Health Coach requires a subscription. That said, it is included with several other Google services, so it is not necessarily an extra cost for everyone. For example, people who already have a Gemini subscription get the Health app features included along with the other benefits, including 5 TB of cloud storage and more.
So yeah, I am genuinely blown away by this watch.
I never expected to be this impressed after switching from a Galaxy Watch, and I am almost shocked by how outdated the Galaxy Watch 9 feels in comparison. The Pixel Watch 4 just feels like a much smarter and more polished product to me.
I know I am posting this in the Galaxy Watch subreddit, and I am probably going to get some hate for saying all of this here. But honestly, I am just so impressed with the Pixel Watch 4. I wish I had made the switch much earlier.
I was a Galaxy Watch User from Watch 4 till watch 9 ( skipped galaxy watch 5 and 8 )
And if you’re happy with your Galaxy Watch, that’s great! Everyone has different priorities, and I don’t want to pressure anyone into anything. I was just so impressed by the Pixel Watch myself that I wanted to share my experience.
Have a nice day
