No fun being left handed

No fun being left handed

Loving the new watch, but being left handed and wearing this on your right wrist makes the numbers on the bezel upside down. Don't want to add bulk and put a cover on it, so I'm just gong to have to get used to it. Anyone know if you can rotate the bezel 180 degrees?

Can't wait till battery life hits 4days+ one day. Im a big tech person and have manyy devices to charge so the less I have to charge the better hopefully after the next 2 generations that'll be a thing.🔋⚡✅

Is GW2 more comfortable than GW1?

As I can see from the comparison, the GW2 seems to fit better on the wrist (smaller gap) compared to the GW1, can anyone confirm this?

Galaxy Watch 8 44mm BT — only getting 16–17 hours with AOD on. Is this normal?

I recently bought a Galaxy Watch 8 Bluetooth 44mm and have been using it for about 4 days.

I really like the watch so far, but I'm concerned about the battery life.

With a 100% full charge and Always On Display (AOD) enabled, I'm getting only around 16–17 hours of battery backup before it needs to be charged again.

I understand that battery life depends on usage, settings, health tracking, notifications, etc., and that the watch may still be learning my usage pattern since it's only been 4 days.

But Samsung claims up to 30 hours with AOD enabled, so 16–17 hours seems quite low to me.

For other Galaxy Watch 8 44mm Bluetooth owners:

How many hours of battery life are you getting with AOD ON?

What settings do you use for AOD, heart-rate tracking, GPS, sleep tracking, etc.?

Did your battery life improve after the first week or two?

Should I wait for the watch to finish optimizing, or could this indicate a battery/device issue?

I don't want to turn AOD off because it's one of the main features I want to use.

Is 16–17 hours normal for the Watch 8 44mm BT with AOD, or should I contact Samsung/replacement support?

Is there any way to set a glucose level into complication

(Sorry for the blurry photos) I recently got myself a galaxy watch 4 classic for quite cheap, I am a type 1 diabetic but every watch face I tried is either digital or just ugly. My question is is there any way to change the battery for a glucose level shower I am using xDrip+, if there isn't any way, could you please recommend me some face watches that have hands and aren't digital.

Thanks

How to wear the galaxy watch??

Hi all,

So basically I recently got the galaxy watch 9. I really like it; how do I wear this though??

Ive been reading other reddit comments and official samsung page, but im still undecided regarding where it should go, and how tight it really needs to be?

Could someone explain this to me or present a photo so I have a general idea?

I have the 40mm size, M/L band size.

Thank you!

Watch 7 → Watch 9/Ultra 2: what actually improved enough to justify the cost?

I’ve been comparing my Watch 7 against the new Watch 9 and Ultra 2, and I’m struggling to find a compelling reason to upgrade.

The Watch 9 gives me newer hardware and software, but battery life and charging don’t appear meaningfully improved, and much of the new software functionality should eventually reach the Watch 7.

The Ultra 2 actually improves battery life, but at a substantial increase in price, size and weight.

For those who actually upgraded from a Watch 7: what improved enough in everyday use that you’d spend the money again?

I’m especially interested in improvements AND regressions, not just the new feature list.

Ultra 2 doesn't exit bedtime mode properly--watch vibration and AOD remain off after bedtime ends

Previously had a watch 7 and now an ultra 2--my watch 7 did not behave this way and I'm not sure if there are settings I'm missing, or if this is just a bug on the ultra 2.

My situation:

  • Sync bedtime/DND with phone is set to OFF
  • Automatic bedtime mode set by schedule on the watch
  • Watch automatically starts bedtime mode properly
  • When bedtime mode automatically (or if I end manually), DND does turn off, but AOD does not go back on and notification sound remains on silent (instead of going back to vibrate)

My watch 7 would properly revert to the state prior to bedtime mode starting--AOD and vibrate would become active again. But on the ultra 2, it basically does not. I'm not sure why. I've restarted the watch and it still behaves this way.

I think I might know what causes the slow charging of Watch 9

For pretext, I used to have the Watch 7 (40mm) for 2 years.
I would always charge it with a powerbank, not a wall charger.

Because I do a lot of filming, I have a lot of powerbanks, large ones.
The one I used was a 99WH battery, as you can imagine, it can re-charge the watch many many times. Like a couple weeks of use at least. I find it convenient, I just plug it in when I sit at the desk sometimes.

Anyway, now I switched to the Watch 9 (44mm) and as many know, it has very poor charging speeds.

Few days a ago I plugged my watch 9 charging puck into the powerbank, but the watch wouldnt charge. I checked and saw the powerbank was empty.
Fair enough. I grab another one and switch them out.

Today, just 3 days later, or 3 charges later, that powerbank is also empty.

Something funky is going on, that charging puck is using WAY too much power.
I don't think anyone noticed that yet, because people just plug it into wall charger.

I think the puck has a design flaw/ or is defective. There is no way a huge powerbank like that gets drain that quickly from a tiny smart watch.

I assume the puck is faulty, gets hot, heats up the watch and voila, terrible charging speed.

Any thoughts on this ?

My First Galaxy watch, loving it

I finally bought this watch, and it's totally worth it. The watch arrived yesterday night, so I charged it and wore it for sleep tracking and to find a good watch face. Tracking is so far good. Battery drain is as expected, but I'll give it some leeway as I updated the watch, and the setup process, along with multiple tracking sessions, consumed battery.

Calling is decent, though I can hear interference, and I'm not sure why. Perhaps it's the weather (heavy rain and mostly cloudy). I used it with a headset as the watch speaker is only decent.

Please recommend a watch face for workout sessions, as there aren't many options, and the images don't do them justice in the Wear app. I also thought of buying a stainless steel strap from Amazon.

I will post a detailed review in about a week with proper testing if anyone needs it.

EDIT: The gesture are hit and miss for me, is there anything i might be doing wrong??

Samsung Turkey's localization team translated "One UI Watch" as an imperative verb ("Watch" as in "to observe") 🤦‍♂️

I've been seeing this on my Galaxy Wearable update screen for months and genuinely wondered what kind of new feature or menu "izle" was supposed to be... until I stumbled upon an English screenshot today and finally connected the dots.

For context:

* "Watch" (the noun / timepiece) translates to "Saat" in Turkish.

* "İzle" is the imperative verb meaning "to watch / observe" (like "watch TV").

Instead of keeping the proper branding (One UI Watch), their translation tool literally told me to sit down, stare at the screen, and "Watch One UI 8.0". Peak machine translation right here.

Does this look too big on my wrist?

I managed to find a Watch8 Classic for a very appealing price and decided to upgrade from the 40mm Watch7.

After a week of using it, I'm very happy with the upgrade (mainly the design and battery), but I'm still torn whether it does or does not look too big on my relatively small wrist.

Galaxy watch backup

Hey guys, I have this issue where my Galaxy Watch 6 Classic doesn't want to back up. It reminds me to back up but doesn't load or create backups. Is there any solution? Sometimes it gives me the ability to back up, but it goes into a loading cycle and nothing happens.

Does anyone have an opinion on getting the Watch 8 Classic vs. the 9?

I just seem to be a person who has an allergy to buying a model number back, even if it's recent, but I'm using a Watch 4 Classic now and I really like the physical bezel ring.

The research says that I'm not really giving up that much in performance by getting the 8 vs the 9, can anyone speak from experience on that?

Thanks!
