Not Happy With Google's/Gemini's Response?

Yeah, I know the answer to that lol. I get a few replies that I know are wrong and/or not even on topic. It's rare tho. But when I do, I can train Google/Gemini to understand that's wrong and tell it the right answer. If it doesn't stick the first time, try again. Do you use the feedback feature? That helps too. I know I'm going to get replies saying something along the lines of "I shouldn't have to do that!" Maybe not but you can be mad and not fix the issue or you can be mad and FIX the problem (and then be happy) :) The system is not perfect. We all know it. Be proactive and help train it. For example, Gemini kept giving me weather info for the town my IP is in, not where I live. After correcting Gemini two times, (I don't live in xxx, I live in xxx), it corrected it's self. Not all incorrect replies can be corrected but a lot can. And use that feedback option!

I Have a Favor to Ask

If you have more than one Nest Hub Max, would you please let me know if you can view one of the Hubs from the other one? I have 3 Hub Max devices. I used to be able to say, for instance, "Hey Google, show me the kitchen" or "show me bedroom 2". Can't do it anymore. I had to redo ALL my IOTs when I got a new router (long story, don't ask...sigh). Only one Nest Hub Max will show up in the GH app. The others work but they can't see each other like before because they won't install in the GH app. There is a tile where they should be but it says they are offline. They aren't. Maybe you could let me know if you've ever run into the issue of the GH Hub Max not showing up in the GH app. I've even uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. Thanks

Matching My Watch Face w/ My Shirt

Does anyone else match/coordinate their watch face with their shirt? Sometimes if my itinerary is specific enough (like maybe the zoo), I'll coordinate my watch face with that. I find most of my photos/art on Zedge but it can come from anywhere. Right now I have a photo of my favorite QB. I have a 6 Classic

Can Google Nest Max Devices Still "See" Each Other?

After getting a new router, my Google Nest Max devices (3 of them) can no longer "see" each other. For instance, I can no longer tell the bedroom Hub, "Show me the kitchen" and see, via my bedroom Nest Max, what's going on in the kitchen. I've been working on this for so long I'm about to wonder if it's still a feature. I know it worked early onon withwith Gemini.

Thanks

Reinstalling the Google Home app

I have several issues with my Google Home devices since upgrading my router. Several email exchanges with Ubiquiti has not solved the problems. If I remove the Google Home app and reinstall it will all my smart devices come back online or will I have to reinstall every single one of them again? I say again because I've had to reinstall roughly 70 smart home devices when I bought the new router even though I was told that if I use the same credentials, Wi-Fi name and password, everything would jump back on the network. They did not.

My main issue is my three Google Nest Max devices. They are not showing up in the Google home app. They show is offline. They cannot "see" each other. They work. They answer questions, play videos and music, turn lights on and off, start robot vacuums but if I ask one Nest Hub Max to show me another one, it can't do it. I can send broadcasts to other Nest Hub Max devices, the only thing they can't do is view each other. For example if I ask the bedroom hub to show me the kitchen hub, it won't work. The only thing I know to try is reinstall the Google home app but not if it means reinstalling 70+ smart devices again. This feature HAS worked with Gemini. My old router was also a Ubiquiti. It was 9 years old and dying a slow death.

ps... if anyone has any advice on settings in the ubiquiti software that I can try, I'm all ears but it should have worked right out of the box. I'm also having the same issue with a Google battery doorbell. The wired Google doorbell is working.

Removing an Offline Google Device From the Google Home App

I need to remove a Nest (battery) Doorbell from the GH app. The doorbell is offline and I can't get it back online. I've already Googled it but I'm guessing the fact that it's offline is why I'm not getting the settings gear icon. I have to remove the doorbell via the settings page. Do you know of any other method?

Thanks

I Felt Hugged By My Lincoln Nauitlus

About a week ago I had to leave my husband at the ER. It was the middle of the night and the ambulance was coming to take him to a larger hospital. He's OK! He wanted me to go home to take care of our dog and get some sleep before driving an hour to the hospital the next morning. He does 90% of the driving, so I don't feel 100% confident at night. As soon as I got behind the wheel and started down a somewhat unfamiliar road in the middle of the night, I felt calm, "hugged" and peaceful. My 2025 Nautilus Reserve II Hybrid guided me home, kept me in my lane, adjusted my bright lights as needed, slowed me down, and changed lanes as needed. The drive was quiet and smooth. She handled the drive like the pro she is. I would be remiss to not give God the glory for a good part of the peaceful feeling :)

Setting Up is So Hard to Do

I used to be able to set up all my Google Home/Nest devices with my eyes closed. I've been a happy Google device owner since 2017. I've even been getting along with Gemini. Then it was time to replace my 9-year-old router. There have been issues. Issues that shouldn't be and I can't seem to overcome them. The fix is most likely right in front of me but I'm not seeing it We have 3 Nest Hub Maxes. The Bedroom Hub works great. I finally have the Kitchen Display set up and working except for one thing. When I ask the Bedroom Hub to "show me the kitchen", it can't. It says Kitchen Hub doesn't support it BUT the Kitchen Hub can show the Bedroom Hub. Note: all three Max Hubs work fine except for being able to view two of them,

I know this can get confusing when it's someone else's home so I'll try to keep it brief...the Bedroom CAN be seen/streamed by the other two Max Hubs. Gemini is telling me the remaining two Max Hubs can't be streamed because they aren't cameras :o Could it be my router? I have unplugged the router for a few minutes as well as the problem two Max Hubs. Google runs this home of 70+ smart devices and until I had to replace a sick router, it did so very well. I went back with the same router, Ubiquiti Amplifi but the new one has 2 mesh points that the old one did not have. Also, the two Max Hubs that are problematic aren't showing up in Google Home. Yes, I have restarted my phone.

Thanks

MAC Glow play cushiony blush... is this normal?

I recently bought this for the first time and it has a funky smell, maybe like rancid Play-Doh. Is this normal for this product?

Google Weather Frog :(

I'm no longer able to choose Photo Frame and/or Google Weather Frog on my Hub. I'm thisclose to losing patience with GH. Everything was going great till I replaced a crippling wifi router with a new one. (Except for the fact that none of my 70+ smart devices connected to the new Wi-Fi when I changed the network name and password back to the old one, everything is slowly but surely getting back to normal. That's a LOT of devices to factory reset and set up again.) The Hub I want the Google Weather Frog on is operating normally, except that I am being told the assistant doesn't have control and can't display my personal photos or the Google Weather Frog. I reset the Hub, but that made no difference in her decision to deny me my Google Weather Frog.

Someone is Spying on Us :o

We have 3 10" Nest Hubs. The other day my husband said he heard the chime that the Hub makes when someone is viewing the camera. He called me to see if it was me. It was not. Today I'm home alone and I hear the sound the Hub makes when someone views the camera. I went into the room (same Nest Hub my husband said was viewing the camera a few days ago) and there was the notice on top of the screen that it was being viewed. A couple of seconds later, the notice turned off.

We live in the country with one house across the street about 40 yds away. The other 4 houses are about 300 yds from ours, but I'm guessing one could be in Hong Kong and hack my cameras here in Texas :o

I guess a change in passwords is in order. Anything else? I think everything is either Nest, Wyze or TP-Link branded (70+ IOTs). This is spooky and something I (foolishly) never thought would happen to us.

Is the FREE Version Gone?

We've had Life360 for YEARS. My husband had the battery saver enabled on his phone for the last several months and apparently, Life360 frowns upon that so much that they removed him from our account. We turned off battery saver on his phone and I am putting him back on the account BUT it defaulted to enrolling us in the Gold plan. I thought perhaps there is no longer a free plan but Google says there is. It's all we need. How do I add hubby back to our free account? For that matter, why am I still on our years-old account if it's no longer free? I'm sure I'm not seeing something that is right in front of my face :o Or maybe you enter your bank info and then cancel at the end of the 30-day trial to be put on the free account?? Please help.

Do You Wear Perfume to Bed?

I wear perfume and lip gloss to bed every night. It has to be the right perfume though. Nothing bright or floral. It has to be a fragrance that is soothing and lends itself for relaxation such as vanillas but I do have one from Clean Reserve called Skin that I really enjoy. I've worn a lot of vanilla fragrances but I think I have found THE one! Cashmere Skin by Phlur. Sooo nice.

First IN-STORE Haul since 2019

My nearest Sephora is an hour away so I've been shopping online since 2019 and I'm good with it. Fifth-year Rouge member. Last week I went into the new Sephora during their grand opening. While the experience was a good one, with a lovely sales associate helping me and being able to smell my fragrances before buying them, I still prefer shopping online. The only thing I'll return is the Ilia Skin Tint but I'll give it one more try. What skin tint would you suggest for dry skin (no dry patches), because I use various hydrating essences and a moisturizer?

Ilia Skin Tint (new)

Skylar's True Love's Cake (new)

Lancome waterproof, longwear pencil eyeliner

Carolina Herrera Good Girl

Natasha Denona Lip Gloss (new)

Huda Beauty pink powder (new color)

Dior Rosy Glow powder blush (new color)

Please Help Me Choose a TP-Link Router For Home Use

...with LOTS of IOTs. My 9 year old Amplifi needs replaced. I have a house full of tplink devices that the Amplifi has run just fine till recently. Connections are spotty and slow. I'd like to go with a TP-Link router. My home is 1800sq ft, brick. 13 Google devices, 6 or 7 of those are screened. A total of over 70 IOTs. I'm deep into automation, including wifi sprinkler system and appliances. I don't want to use an extender. I want a good solid router that won't fall down on the job. TP-Link has been my "drama free" go-to smart device brand for years. Big fan! Thanks

I Didn't' Wear False Lashes Yesterday :o

I only wear makeup when I leave the house and I always have false lashes on. My husband asked me to try going without them. I can't believe I did it :o My real lashes are basically non- existant (from pulling off my false lashes without lash remover). Honestly, it wasn't as bad as I thought. Having a full face of makeup kinda made up for no lashes. Don't get me wrong, I still would not want to leave the house without them, but if I'm in a pinch for time, it's doable (kinda) lol.

Oh No, First Major Gemini Blunder ( for me)!

Pre Gemini, if I ask Google to play a song it would continue to play music of that genre and era. Perfect, loved it. I just asked Google to play a song and it repeated the same song till I told it to stop. Are others experiencing the same thing?
