What is your HG moisturizer?

Recently started tret and ran out of my tatcha moisturizer. I don’t mind the price, but I just get very little for the price so was wondering if anyone else has recs for moisturizers for drier skin and preferably one that won’t make me break out🤣❤️

New fan! Rhode sephora haul 🥹💕🫶🏻

The bronzer and highlight milk must have triggered something in me… a new Rhode fan is born 😂💸

I got everything in the span of 1.5 weeks LOL. I just loved the bronzer and hm so much!

I have purchased the blush and lip tint (piggy & salty tan) during its first launch years ago, but I wasn’t a huge fan of them. Definitely falling in love with the brand now 💗💕

Fingers crossed Sephora restocks the other blush shades as I’d rather buy stuff irl than have it shipped in this heat🥲

Best Dry Shampoo??

Hey babes!!

I’m looking for a recommendation for the best dry shampoo product that they sell at Sephora. To be honest, I am open to suggestions that they don’t sell at Sephora like pretty much anywhere that sells in the US. But since this is a Sephora sub whatever they sell in store or online is OK too!!!

I had seen a couple girls post on social media some reviews for dry shampoo, but I honestly forgot what it was. They did a product testing on camera and it was freaking amazing like you could just see their hair looked like they had just washed it and it went from greasy to perfect. I have tried a few things in store, but I didn’t really feel amazed by it…

I think I’ve heard some people talk about the K18 saying it was good?? Right now I have the Saltair dry shampoo and it’s just OK. I just really like their Santal Bloom scent but the fragrance doesn’t really matter. I need something that’s going to help help me get in between washes….

So pretty much the second day after a shower and beyond my hair gets really greasy and gross and I have really long hair and so it doesn’t really go up in a pony tail that cute I don’t know maybe that’s just because I don’t know how to style it in a ponytail, but I’m hoping that I can find a really really good dry shampoo to give it a touchup in between washes. I live in an area that water is very expensive at… I used to take showers every single night but then my scalp started to burn so I stopped doing that. I probably shower every 2 to 3 days and I just would like a really good dry shampoo, but I don’t know what that miracle product was that I saw in the video…

What do you guys think? What’s the best dry shampoo in the market please help a girl out !!!
Thank you in advance !!

Looking for an SPF Recommendation

Hi. I’m new here.

I‘ve tried a lot of different SPF formulations and every single one has caused a flare up of my hormonal acne. I’d love to just skip SPF, but I know that it’s important to wear it since I use retinoids and have had a lot of dermatologist appointments where things were cut off, even pre-melanoma at 20.

These are what I’ve tried:

SuperGoop Unseen Sunscreen | innisfree Daily UV | Tower 28 SOS FaceGuard | The Ordinary UV Filters | Kiehl‘s Better Screen | Dr. Jart Every Sun Day | All Neutrogena Face Sunscreens | Elta MD

In hindsight, maybe this isn’t that long of a list. I’ve considered Ultra Violette but their formula smells like wine (I don’t drink and can’t stand the smell), or SkinCeuticals.

Chemical vs Mineral doesn’t seem to make a difference in if it breaks me out or not. My dermatologist’s recommendations have also broken me out.

Any advice or recommendations would be so appreciated!

What’s your favorite brand aesthetic? Do you make purchases based on looks (packaging etc)

Mine are Summer Fridays, Dieux, Sofie Pavitt Face, The Outset (no longer at sephora).

Haven’t tried all these brands products (yet!) just simply going by looks. If the ingredients are not good (to me- I avoid fragrance & essential oils) I of course won’t purchase. I don’t buy just because of packaging and design, but it does slightly influence me.

Help me cut this sunscreen in the shower

I use Haru Haru oil cleanser to take my mineral sunscreen off of my face.

What body wash products do you recommend that will actually cut through non-mineral sunscreens on the body?

I can’t with this residual sludge on my thighs after showering…

Looking for a replacement of my Clinique Even Better Glow Foundation which has been discontinued :(

For almost a decade, I was using the Clinique Even Better Glow as my main foundation. I put on a full face of make-up a few times a year for events or weddings, so I don't use products up very quickly Unfortunately, I came to learn this particular product has been discontinued a few years ago, and I am now in need of a replacement. Their Even Better foundation is too cakey for me.

I'm looking for a foundation that similarly provides SHEER, LIGHTWEIGHT coverage with dewyness and SPF if possible. I hate the feeling of having a bunch of makeup on my face. My skin is mostly dry/combo. I am willing to spend a little bit more on a quality product especially if it'll give me sheerness, lightweight feeling, dewyness, and SPF coverage. Let me know your recommendations!

My $100 Route Reward Haul

A bit crazy that these 3 items are $100, but I used my Rouge Reward, and the subtotal was exactly $100, so not a penny out of pocket. The eyeshadow stick and MJ are both new products to me, so excited about trying them. I have a couple Skylar perfumes and enjoy them as they are usually subtle and simple, which I appreciate for wearing to the office. Anyone try these products and have any thoughts?

I need a rec for a blush!

Someone here recommended the Dior powder blush in rosewood as a blush that wouldn't turn orange on my skin. I went to swatch it in Sephora and the color is great, but there is a ton of glitter in it!

Anyone have a recommendation for a blush that is that color just without any glitter? Thanks!

Amika oil control dry shampoo... Never again :(

I wanted to try so got a Amika perk up ultra oil control dry shampoo during black friday last year. I have only used ~3 times so far, and did not notice much difference on my oily hair each time. I thought maybe I just haven't mastered the right way to apply it and that's ok.

However, today when I reached for it, the nozzle completely stopped working and the bottle felt weirdly light. My husband helped me do some more inspections and was convinced that the bottle is now empty. But like... how? After 3 times? Why does this feel like a scam lol

Millennials what are you absolute repeat buys from Sephora?

Millennials what are your absolute repeat buys from Sephora?

- using millennials for target replies

- interested in products that worked so well that you keep buying again and again.

For me it's K18, NARS light reflecting foundation, NARS Powermatt lip liners, YSL eclat pen and Laneige Water Sleeping Mask.

Thoughts on the Makeup by Mario foundations?

The shades are great for me but i'm not sure which formula to get - natural finish or the regular surreal skin one.

I have combination skin which can be dry and flaky as I'm on tretinoin. I want a decent amount of coverage to cover redness.

Any contributions would be appreciated!

Need Help After Bad Reaction to Pureology Shampoo

I tried Pureology Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner for a few weeks and it absolutely destroyed my scalp. It’s painful, irritated and inflamed and itchy.

I went back to using Joico products (what I usually use)but my scalp hasn’t returned back to normal and it’s been several weeks since I stopped using Pureology.

Before I go see a dermatologist, does anyone have any recommendations on a product that would help soothe my scalp and get it back to normal?

My review of Nars insatiable liquid blush

i have been testing this blush for the last four days after getting the shade que calor in a 1ml sample packet. Feel free to jump to any section that interests you I’ll be talking about:

- Review of the blush

- Comparison to the other previous two liquid blushes

- Comparison to other liquid blushes

- Review of the other currently available Nars blushes (except the new blush-highlighter hybrid)

**Review**

This is a water free squalane based serum blush. It’s very pigmented, but because it’s essentially a tinted oil, you do get a lot of blendability and it’s easy to get both cheeks even, which is often a challenge with pigmented blushes. I applied it on top of two different satin foundations that were set with powder. I personally didn’t experience the issue of it removing my base, but I could see it doing that on a more hydrating foundation given the first ingredient. The finish is a natural dewy. Nars claims that it’s long wearing, it wasn’t without using the sandwich method of applying it, setting it with powder and then adding the smallest amount of it back to get the finish back. It’s also quite pretty on top of a more matte blush. The shade is a sunburnt warm rosy shade it’s less muted than dolce vita.

**Comparison with the other previous liquid blushes**

It’s not at all similar to the previous two liquid blushes. The afterglow blush was a sheer more gel like formula that gave a watercolour effect and the original one with the pump was a very glam full coverage blush that you had to be careful with. They were also both more typical liquid blushes. The new insatiable blush is essentially a dewy cream blush in liquid form. My favourite was the afterglow, but I also quite like the insatiable blush too.

**Comparison to other liquid blushes**

- The rare beauty liquid blush in the liquid finish is more pigmented, longer wearing and harder to sheer out. It’s one of those formula that looks best if you don’t try to sheer it out too much or it can be patchy. Not my favourite on my fair skin.

- The glossier cloud paint are closer to the afterglow blushes but but more milky and pigmented. Finish wise they’re not far off from the insatiable blushes.

- The Huda beauty blush filter are more grippy and are a bit less pigmented. They are also longer wearing.

- The glow recipe flush are the most similar thing I’ve tried. I looked at the ingredients and they also contain a lot of squalane, but these ones also contain water. Honestly, if I had to pick one on the formula alone and not the shade range, I’d go for these one instead of Nars. That Nars sample actually reminded me of how much I like the glow recipe one when I got a sample.

**Comparison to other Nars blushes**

I feel like these blushes take the place of the old multiple blush pre-reformulation because they look a lot like a cream blush on. I wasn’t a fan of the original multiple, these are better and the colours are more vibrant. The multiple blur look a lot like a matte liquid blush on but in a stick format. Leave it to Nars to do a cream blush that looks like a liquid powder hybrid and a liquid blush that looks like a cream. My favourite blush from Nars are the talc fee powder blushes in the matte finish. They don’t swatch well but they are very smooth and long wearing once on. The multiple blur would rank second and these new insatliable blushes last, but I still enjoy them.

I have a lot of Nars products so I feel like the competition is strong and it wouldn’t make it in my top five, but it’s still a beautiful product.
