4 week break

I’m coming back after almost a 4-week break because I got sick. I’m an unlimited member and normally take 4–5 classes a week, so I’ve been doing Solidcore consistently for months.

I expected to be sore coming back, but my lower back is absolutely killing me. The rest of my muscles just feel normally sore, but my lower back is on another level. It wasn’t really hurting during class—it got much worse at night. Now im not POSITIVE this is from SC but nothing else it could be really.

Has anyone experienced this after taking a few weeks off? Is this just normal soreness from returning, or could I be overusing my lower back or doing something wrong? I’m not sure if it’s just DOMS or if I should pay more attention to my form.

Nyc studios music

Hey everyone! I know there have been a lot of discussions about volume levels in NYC studios, but I’m actually on the opposite side of the debate 😅

I’m looking for Manhattan studios and/or coaches that tend to play music on the louder side. I know that’s not everyone’s preference, but for me the music is a huge part of what keeps me motivated during class. Sometimes I feel like I can barely hear it, and I’d honestly rather have the music a little louder than the coach.

Any recommendations for studios, coaches, or class times with great energy and louder music?
