I went to a heated sculpt class this morning where an edm remix of Boston by Stella Lefty was played and I almost left. It was way too early for ts lol.
I need rap/hip hop to get into the workout, and I love heated classes but I have a hard time finding heated mat instructors who primarily play this kind of music 😭
What are your favorite heated classes in Manhattan? Specifically sculpt or Pilates!
I've been loving fuze, ethea and hot 8 and have found myself wanting to take class every single day. morning workouts are bringing me so much dopamine and really help me to focus at work (adhd). that said, I feel like my body isn't recovering enough and i'm finding random parts of my body are sore.. like my wrists and knees. Im curious to know how often you all are going, and how you balance classes with recovery? I stretch twice a day and foam roll/use lacrosse balls.
I am also curious to know how you are saving your hair and skin with these heated classes!
Soooo, I got my certification through a studio back home and have taught community classes, but I haven’t consistently taught at a Pilates studio yet.
I’d really love to start teaching in a studio here, even if it’s just one class a week to get my foot in the door and build experience.
For instructors who are already teaching at studios — how did you get your first opportunity? Did you reach out to studios directly, take classes and network with instructors, audition, start with substitute classes, etc.?
Would also love to hear if anyone has advice specifically for getting started in NYC as a newer studio instructor! Thank you in advance!
They just announced Reforming Heat is opening on the UES! Anyone know where and if near their existing reformer studio?
