I was looking at some sunscreen info and saw this. Why did they post this AI slop when they have ACTUAL PRODUCT images??

Anyone else excited about this? I had the original one back in 2018 and glad to see a mew version. Do you think that Too Faced will eventually do a GWP? I’m waiting to order this in caae they do. Keeping my fingers crossed!
I couldn’t miss out on the 5x points today and I had been wanting this new perfume. I wanted to get it before it came out cause it had a super cute squishmallow GWP and luckily for me it came back so I was so happy to snag it
I've had some favorites out of their solo shadows, especially the bouncy shimmers. Any recommendations or what to avoid?
All right, babes I am on the hunt for the best dry shampoo at Ulta to help me get in between my washes.
I probably wash my hair every 2 to 3 days and by the second day it just looks really greasy and flat and gross and I’m not really a huge fan of throwing it up in a ponytail, but I will definitely … I have a few hair clips, but I don’t know. I just don’t like the way it looks…. And so I started hunting for a good dry shampoo and I bought the Saltair dry shampoo and it is just OK. It’s very mid… it’s not horrible by any means, but I know that there are better products out there.
I saw a social media video where a girl was like applied a dry shampoo on camera and her hair was really greasy and gross before hand, and then after she used the dry shampoo, it straight up looked like her hair had just been washed. It was so good and I’ve heard a lot of things about the K 18 dry shampoo. I think it’s called. I literally cannot remember what product she was reviewing and I can’t find the video but what they showed me was that there are really good products out there. I just need to find them.
And I think that this would be a good investment for me because I don’t always shower every day. I tried doing that for a couple months and then my scalp started to burn plus I live in an area where water is very expensive.
So I wanna know from the community please tell me what’s the absolute best dry shampoo out there? I know that expensive doesn’t always mean good so I am open to you know price your stuff because it’s an investment for sure…. And I can always search for it on discount or on the resale apps or whatever but yeah I’m really curious. What’s the best dry shampoo out there? Please help me thank you very much.!!!
I tried Pureology Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner for a few weeks and it absolutely destroyed my scalp. It’s painful, irritated and inflamed and itchy.
I went back to using Joico products (what I usually use)but my scalp hasn’t returned back to normal and it’s been several weeks since I stopped using Pureology.
Before I go see a dermatologist, does anyone have any recommendations on a product that would help soothe my scalp and get it back to normal?
I'm so excited for Vanilla Rice. I swore off blind buying perfumes but... I couldn't resist the notes. And a free mini! I love Ulta's point system yall. 😭🩷
I’m usually a very fair skinned person with many freckles, I use a light/fair Lancôme Teint Idole (105W) foundation daily.
I have recently been able to start doing water aerobics in an outside pool and will continue to do so for the rest of the summer if able.
Is it worth it to buy a new matching foundation for the rest of the summer or try to shade match my current foundation adding other products I already have to make it a little better fit as I get darker?
I do wear SPF 50 on my body and a mineral sunscreen on my face that’s also SPF 50 (derm gave me this brand- ISDN Photo) and re apply every hour to hour and a half I’m outside in the water or when I feel the need if more often. I also always wear a hat and sunglasses and sun shirt. But I’m still getting more tan than expected more quickly due to my fair skin and lack of base tan from being ill and inside a lot.
Sorry if this has been asked before or is common sense. I haven’t been able to exercise in a while and am excited to continue this outdoor activity but don’t want to look ridiculous with a tan elsewhere and mismatched face due to using the same foundation.
Thank you!
Looks like they no longer carry the one product I had in my Saved for later, but what's left is heavily discounted. I grabbed a ton of the little spray on body serums. They are nice and light. And interested in trying the body wash.
I wonder whether the 4th of July week is traditionally a very low week for store sales, because I feel like I have seen a marked increase in the "shop IN STORE" emails over the past week... but I hadn't noticed this kind of push before now
Anyone else notice this? Do they also do this in other months?
I had a bunch of Nars products (afterglow blushes, eye cream) that were 50% off in my cart yesterday. Everything indicated that it was part of the sale that goes through July 11. I went to add a few more things this morning because I got distracted last night and didn't get to order, and I was sad to see that it's back to regular price today.
I didn't see anything about that product only being on sale until 7/4. There wasn't anything on the product page indicating when the sale was going to end. I even went in store a few days ago to try the shades IRL before ordering (I wanted the Clinique GWP that's online only though) and the signs in the store didn't have an end date. It just said it was 50% off with the big summer sale, so I assumed it was good until that date.
I didn't even see a sale flyer for Nars at all online (compared to other brands that are advertising 40% off for two days only or other various short term deals). I stumbled upon the Nars products being on sale when I was searching for a different Nars product and saw they had the deals on certain items.
For my future reference, is there a way to tell when individual sales that are apparently sub-sales within a larger sale event end? I don't want to miss out on these deals in the future. (This would have only been my second Ulta online order, so I'm a newer customer).
I'm a 34 y/o male and I close to 0 about makeup or skincare for women. What I do know is I love my wife and I want to surprise her with some nice stuff from Ulta. Could any of you kind souls point me in the right direction towards some good skincare products and makeup? We can totally be besties and talk about all the new makeup trends while we watch Love is Blind.
Now available in Ulta app
Please use this post to check for current gwp or beauty breaks. You can still post standalone posts for confirmed Beauty Breaks, but you can not create standalone posts asking if a beauty break will be happening.
Lately, almost all the associates at my local Ulta refuse to check if they have Gift With Purchase (GWP) items in stock. This has happened across separate visits and multiple items.
One time they did say they didnt have it and i ended up going back later in the week and I asked a diffrent associare and they had it and the assoxlciate commented on how many they have cause she was surprised they didnt run out -it was a Anasatasia beverly hills gwp (i know devils avocate maybe they just got a shipment in but the associate implied the gwps have been sitting there)
If I am buying an item that qualifies for a GWP, I want to receive it.How can I ask them nicely to check without annoying them? A few months ago, they would happily check if I asked, but now they won't even look. Sometimes if the store is empty, I will ask if a GWP is available before I grab the item, and they say "no" before I even finish my sentence. I really wanted the Joico Supergirl bag GWP, and they wouldn't even look for it. Then when i went to order it online it was sold out. If I happen to get certain associates, they will check for me, but they usually arent there when I go.
associates (specific ones bot everyone obviously but they're ususlly at the register) have a history of not knowing about items having gwps so i'd have to show then the sign by the items or online and then theyd look and find it. So because there is that history....
One of the items I bought wasn't even popular, and another had three different GWPs available. I know stord have sheets with wjat gwp is active but it seems like theyre just saying no to say no. Its hard to explain but its the tone of thier voice. Theres tons of gwp so I don't understand how they claim to know off the top of their head that everything I ask/buy all the time is out of stock
I prefer buying in-store to avoid shipping issues, but this is getting ridiculous. Any advice?
Hi! I used Ulta’s salon yesterday for the first time. Here’s the context:
I just had 2 babies back to back. So I put all hair care on hold for roughly 18 months. 3 months ago (when I was 2 months post partum) I had my hair done with a professional stylist from a very overgrown old highlight. Highlights have been my style of choice for years bc I like how it accents my curly hair. That stylist bleached my hair for a partial highlight to add low lights and then gave me a dark brunette toner (when I asked for bright, blonde, fresh highlights). I addressed it immediately and she threw some haphazard foils back on right there and let it sit for 20 minutes or so. Which obviously wasn’t enough time to cut through the toner the just applied. But I still was charged full price (paid $350) for the half highlights and have worn the hair the last 3 months. A kind of dull, brassy highlight.
So I go to ulta yesterday bc the stylists around me charge quotes up to $450 for a full highlight. I knew ulta was probably going to be a coin toss but hey, to save $200-$300….I took the chance.
I explain to my ulta stylist yesterday this exact context. I show the two reference photos of my hair as I usually like it (bright, blonde highlights). I was coming in already kind of halfway there so I was hopeful it’d be easy enough.
After I get out of the bowl from washing the toner, I can tell i’m brunette. I bring it up like “hey I don’t want to come off that I don’t trust you but I’m just worried that this isn’t bright blonde…it seems really dark.” She said “oh well yeah it’s going to be about the same as before.” I explain that I don’t want the same as before, I wanted to be brighter, up maybe 2 levels to the levels in the photo. She then tells me “well it’ll lighten up as you wash out the free gloss I added in the bowl. The gloss is free and included in the highlight service and it’ll make you look darker at first. But when it washes out you’ll be brighter. But the gloss lasts 6-8 weeks”.
I don’t know if that’s true or not, but I’m getting mixed messages. She took a really long time brushing product into my wet hair and offered to diffuse it, put the diffuser on for a couple seconds per section, and then said diffusing will make my hair frizzy (eh).
So then I’m leaving with damp hair so the final color can’t really be seen yet. At check out, I bring it up again, “I believe you that it’ll maybe lighten a bit with a few washes, but was there a reason that we couldn’t get to the level of reference photos that I showed? I’m just still not understanding super well.” And she said it was the color job from my previous stylist 3 months ago. That she more or less was color correcting her job that she did and that the brown color she added to my hair was bleaching out orange and she spent today trying to blend it out.
I said okay I can understand that but that’s a bummer bc I wasn’t told that during the bleaching process or at any part that the goal wasn’t achievable. Can I come back for a second round for a partial to finish the process?
She said I could come back at 12 weeks out. I said really no sooner? She said it wasn’t healthy for my hair (bc of my curls). I pushed a bit, bc I’ve had color correction services done in the past and didn’t have to wait 3 months between sessions, like maybe a week. She agreed to schedule me 2 months out. She agreed to 8 weeks out but said no earlier bc she didn’t want to compromise my hair.
I’ve gotten home, since washed it several times, re dried and I’m honestly just straight brunette. I’m really bummed bc I took extra shifts to pay for this service to get blonde highlights (now 5 months postpartum). I ended up calling the salon to ask if I could schedule a redo bc I’m not feeling satisfied that I spent 3 hours getting bleached to be brunette (again). I was told the stylist said it was a previous color problem and I couldn’t come back for 8 weeks. I pushed that again and said but can we not do a redo partial to let bleach sit and cut through the color longer? Even just around the face to brighten it. It’s not going from black box dye to blonde. I really don’t like my hair and my hair was only bleached 3 months ago, after 18 months. She said ok 4 weeks out but your stylist says no earlier bc of safety for your hair.
I’m just frustrated that I told her what happened, I was so excited for this, and this stylist did the exact same thing the previous stylist did. I think she was more intimidated that my hair is curly (aka extra porous and sensitive to bleach) and she is being really cautious not to accidentally fry it all off. But my hair is healthy, I’ve had highlights dozens and dozens of times through the years and really can’t wrap my head around this 6 month journey to get some blonde streaks in my hair.
Am I over reacting? I’ve read now on the thread that it seems really hit or miss. Should I just take the L on this and be grateful it didn’t go worse and find another solution elsewhere. Ideally I’d like a refund at this point bc the extra work I did to earn this service for my postpartum mommy glow up now seems completely wasted :/
Thanks for your perspective and sorry for the long post!
i couldn’t find any other posts about this, so i hope it’s not old news! but i was perusing for a new body spray and apparently bath and body works is coming to ulta??? what is happening lol
They got me with this sale. I was in the market for body wash and makeup brushes.
