Severe Stomach symptoms:
Has anyone experienced any of this? I’ve been begging my doctors for an endoscopy and they are refusing. I’m so worried I have a GI malignancy. I’ve had a chronic sore throat for over a year. I get extreme sharp pains in my chest and upper left in my stomach under my ribs. The pain radiates to my upper back. The sharp pains go away when I take 20mg of omeprazole twice daily. The rest of the symptoms are still here: I have frequent burping and like a gnawing pain when I eat or when I’m hungry. Nausea after meals, A globus sensation or a tight throat. It feels like food is sticking when I swallow. I never get heartburn but more like pressure in my chest. These symptoms have lasted over a year. I was able to stop omeprazole in January and I was fine other than the chronic sore throat until June when the symptoms came back and it was so severe I thought I was going to end up hospitalized. I’ve been on omeprazole for the last 4 weeks and the sharp pains are better but I still feel the gnawing but I’m getting scared that the doctors are missing something serious. I also have pain in my hands mri and xray was clear. My Ana is 1:2560 but all other Rhuematology labs are always normal. What can be causing my scary GI symptoms? Why won’t my doctors scope me. I feel like if it was an ulcer or gastritis it should have healed by now. I’m hoping someone has experienced something similar so I can help my doctors figure this out. Thank you!
