E Pluribus Motto MFD State Movies
Going through a backlog and just listened to J and J pick a Maryland movie...
While Hairspray would be my pick as well (for the reasons discussed, PLUS it was the point where Waters finally got the budget to hire a whole cast that could keep up with Divine), I have to wonder: Did Barry Levinson get canceled or something? His kid Sam is a little problematic, but I was surprised that Barry's four Baltimore movies weren't even mentioned. Diner hasn't aged all that well, but without Levinson we don't get Homicide: Life on the Street, and thusly we don't get The Wire.
Other nits:
DC: Dick is a fun bookend to All the President's Men.
Wisconsin: Wayne's World isn't a Wisconsin film. There's a single famous scene where Wayne & Garth road trip to Milwaukee to see Alice Cooper, but the film, and the SNL sketches, were set in Aurora, Illinois (Aurora Cable 10)
