Come see me in Nashville and Toronto!
In the coming weeks I'll be at GalaxyCon in Nashville (the Toronto of America) and TCAF in Toronto (the Nashville of Canada). Come talk to me at a little table!

Fun episode, and so cool to see Jesse and the Judge in the same room! I didn't think I'd have any interest in "Heated Rivalry," but the hype got to me and I finally watched it and absolutely loved it.
Though I'm a little disappointed that John Hodgman is no longer referring to his daughter (who is a whole human being in her whole right) as Hodgmina. I will always think of her that way.
What a fun story! As a former church kid and ongoing agnostic, all the jokes and era-appropriate references hit hard. I’m now cursed with Jars of Clay stuck in my head, but it was worth it.
Go and get it get it get it!
In honor of Free With Ads' finally making an episode on the original PREDATOR (dropping Wednesday), please show us your best bro-shake meme about FWA or any other Max Fun show! We'll read the best ones on a future episode.
Almost 2 months after the Underworld episode and Emily’s “new” died tips show up on GMM. #Peeling back the vale
Going through a backlog and just listened to J and J pick a Maryland movie...
While Hairspray would be my pick as well (for the reasons discussed, PLUS it was the point where Waters finally got the budget to hire a whole cast that could keep up with Divine), I have to wonder: Did Barry Levinson get canceled or something? His kid Sam is a little problematic, but I was surprised that Barry's four Baltimore movies weren't even mentioned. Diner hasn't aged all that well, but without Levinson we don't get Homicide: Life on the Street, and thusly we don't get The Wire.
Other nits:
DC: Dick is a fun bookend to All the President's Men.
Wisconsin: Wayne's World isn't a Wisconsin film. There's a single famous scene where Wayne & Garth road trip to Milwaukee to see Alice Cooper, but the film, and the SNL sketches, were set in Aurora, Illinois (Aurora Cable 10)
I’ve done some digging because I thought it was shared at some point, but I can’t find the recipe that Dave Shumka likes to use for rhubarb cordial. Does anybody know where I could find it? I’d love to give it a try, and I’ve already got rhubarb taking over my garden.
I have just stumbled across a facebook account called The Heathyorker. An account that swaps the captions of Heathcliff and New Yorker comic strips.
Not since I was recommended a page called Clown Girls Honk Heaven has my feed been so blessed(cursed?)!
I know MaxFunDrive just ended, but boy howdy! This week’s JJHo left me hungry for more public television game show color commentary from our judge and bailiff. This would be incredible bonus content, though I also wouldn’t disagree with an ongoing podcast with special guests each week. I had such a smile on my face while listening to them go on, and I will also be watching the episode later on YouTube for the full experience.
Also, shout out to this week’s litigants for mentioning Love on a Leash, one of the very best and perplexing bad movies on this planet.
