Neonatal loss
It’s been a year since I lost my son . He was born 22 w 4 d . It all started on Friday evening, I was feeling a bit uneasy and had a back pain. I did have a long day at work so i thought I was just tired and went to sleep. The next day a couple of hours in the morning seemed to be okay but again I started feeling uneasy. I just wanted to lie in bed and interestingly I started having noticeable discharge. I took a shower and went to sleep and went I went to use the bathroom I saw some blood.
I rushed to the hospital, on my way to the hospital contractions started. I just reached the emergency and my water broke. Within an hour I delivered my baby. Everything happened so quickly I just couldn’t process it.
I found out the gender of my baby after delivering him at 22 weeks.
He was born with a strong heartbeat and was immediately moved to the NICU. One doctor came up to me and said his chance of survival is less than 20%. He lived for 4 days and finally on oct 8th 2025 he passed away.
Since tomorrow is his birthday, I wanted to share my story in this group. Every night for the past one year I read some stories from fellow mamas. Hope our babies in heaven are happy.
