RIF

I had a miscarriage and took four months of FMLA to recover. When I finally came back to work, my manager told me I was part of a RIF.

I'm honestly devastated. Losing my baby was already one of the hardest things I've ever been through, and now coming back only to lose my job feels incredibly cruel. I know companies have layoffs, but the timing has made this so much harder to process.

Has anyone else gone through something similar after returning from FMLA? I'm trying to understand my rights and also just looking for support because this has been one of the most painful experiences of my life.

resume for internal application,

I have no desire to climb the corporate ladder. Between my previous and current jobs, I have a total of 10 years of experience. For an internal application, is it okay to reduce the number of years I list for my previous company?

switch careers

Has anyone here transitioned internally from a Software Engineer role to another position? I'm a Software Engineer II and am considering a career change within the company. I'd love to hear about your experience.

team bullied

I would really like to switch teams. I don't feel comfortable in my current team environment, and it has become difficult for me to work effectively. As a software engineer, I understand that mistakes are part of learning and growth, but I often feel anxious about making even small mistakes in my current team. I believe I would be able to contribute more effectively and continue developing my skills in a different team with a more supportive working environment.

std leave

Hi, I was on STD leave for 4 months, and I'm concerned that I might be at risk of being laid off when I return. Would it be better to stay with my current team, or should I start exploring other internal opportunities (IJP roles). Plano texas
