Invited to a wedding, dress code is: “western formal, think boots and hats, no white or terracotta as to not clash with the wedding party.” I don’t really own any cowboy/western clothes, nor do I live in that world so my only exposure to western clothing is from movies. I don’t want to spend too much on things I’d never wear again. I picked up a black yoked snap shirt and a cheap bolo. I already have a dark pair of Levi 502s with a pair of dark brown soft toe redwings being the closest thing I own to a cowboy boot. Will this be at least semi appropriate? The only blazer I own is a navy blue velvet blazer from a wedding in Vegas. Please advise.
